The cause of PayPal Limitation

I was just interested to find out if people had similar limitations by paypal

I have been using this stealth account for around 45 days now and already have 14 feedbacks.

No low DSR stars
No disputes

all tracking uploaded to paypal for every item sold.

and now paypal lands this in my mailbox:

Begin a limitation review

Confirm your credit card
To confirm you are the credit card owner, we'll charge a small amount to your credit card. After you confirm the amount, we'll credit your PayPal account for the amount charged.

Photo ID.
To help confirm your identity, please send us a copy of your photo ID that shows your name and address.

Validate your Account Information.
We need to confirm that your phone number matches your address.

I also notice they will not allow me to confirm using a mobile phone, I must use a landline

so I am about to sort out a soho66 account to overcome that

But in general, does this mean the end of an account or is this more like a routine thing they do?

p.s. this account also is bank verified and has all limits removed

p.s.s I did not sell any VERO items

only used clothes and books to get the account up and running and make some safe feedback

Doesn't sound anything too nasty. When they have concerns regarding what you are selling you normally get asked for supplier info and invoices.

I'd think you have a very good chance that if you supply the requested info, the account will be restored.

Do the credit card and then the phone confirmation.

If you don't have the ID, phone asking if it is really necessary. If they say yes, provide it. If you don't have any to provide, contact a mod.

couple of other factors.

the fact that credit card had not been fully confirmed.

how much money approx did you receive in that 45 days? a large amount or over coming up to the EU limit would flag it.

taking it slow could avoid all this, I do not get these. Then again it may have been a random check, it is just that triggers tend to be automated...

£600ish in 45 days

most expensive item sold was £60

It does sound to me like a routine check

I can provide them with things they ask for, but will have to change my mobile number to a soho66 both in eBay and PayPal as this is the first time I am hit with a PayPal phone verification which requires only landline.

I do not feel it is a big deal, if you can do the ID, confirm your credit card and the phone you should be fine
