Default The receiving paypal account

Is it okay to have 2 different receiving paypal email addresses/ paypal accounts on different items being sold on 1 above standard ebay account?

Will they both be linked because of this?

yes they will both be linked if you use them both on the same ebay account.
Are you doing this because you have the £1900 receiving limit?

What happened was that I did an echeck via paypal for ebay fees but a customer bounced a cheque on me and my echeck bounced but paypal still paid ebay.
I am now in credit on ebay fees but I am in negative with paypal by £800.
It is going to take me about 7days to clear the paypal but I need some money in the meantime so I thought about using an alternative paypal but it does mean that 2 paypals will be active to receive on 1 ebay account.
The ebay account is in good standing and above standard, unlimited.

Dont leave the pp negative for too long - you will be limited and tossed out

Brand new eB and brand new pp would work IF 1) you make sure linkfree to old accounts and 2) you vary your listings to make sure that you dont seem to be the old "guy" just trying to come back on eB/pp

You simply can not, and must not, use another paypal.

That will link your accounts.

That creates potential issues for you.

Have you made any contact with paypal to let them know you are resolving the balance?

You should make sure to cover your back with them.

They are not too tolerant at times.

Yes I did message paypal and explained that I have lots of pipeline auctions ending which wil clear the balance within 14days even without any buy it nows which will help to clear it quicker.
I asked whether customers will still be able to pay and that funds will reduce the balance.
Their reply was positive and confirmed that the account can stil receive the funds from ebay sales.

The ebay account has no limits so I thought that I would leave my 80 listings up to clear the old pp and that new listings (I list about 12perday) would have the new pp account to receive funds so that I still have income coming in.

I am of course not too sure now

What did pp say as a reply to your pipeline product proposal?

On the instant message they said it was fine for payments to be received from ebay sales to clear down the balance.

They forgot this and telephoned me today on mobile, left no message but I googled the number and saw it was PP so called them back.
After confirming phone number, email address and postal address, they asked about the negative balance, I reiterated that as long as payments are allowed into the account then the balance will be cleared imminently and in consistent stages.

The rep on the phone said that will be fine, noted that it will be cleared within 7-10 days and logged the call.

I am beginning to think that they will close the PP account once the negative is cleared, do you think this is the case?

On another note I have 80 items listed (it takes me about 20 mins per item) and I have another 70 to list over the next 2 days.

If I lose this paypal account, are you saying that I shouldn't add a new paypal to the ebay account?
The ebay account is in good standing, above standard and around 7 years old, it is worth a lot to me and almost irreplaceable due to it having no limits.

The paypal account isn't officially linked, it is just the receiving account on the listings.

Thank you all for your input, it is very much appreciated

Then it is linked.

Account is flagged within their system.

Be prepared for the worst to happen.

BTW, did you get the name of the staff person who told you that info?
Did you also get that in writing? Be wary of trusting paypal

Think about it in real terms, you have linked it to accept payments so they have it linked also. Get the guide open a few accounts. You sound like you know what your doing so you should be fine :-)

Thank you, I do have the typed message with the reps name but not the telephone call one.

I will let you all know what happens, either before or after the paypal is cleared.

Thank you, here is the email from paypal at the top and my first message to them at the bottom:

Dear xxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting PayPal about the negative balance on your PayPal account.

Ms xxxxxxxxx, I am sorry to hear about what happened.

Don’t you worry, I can confirm that you can still receive payments and this will reduce the amount of the negative balance on your PayPal account.

We appreciate your cooperation in resolving the negative balance. Currently, you have -£877.77 GBP.

You can restore your balance by:

Adding money from your bank account
Calling us on 02086100150 (Mon-Fri, 8am-7pm and Sat, 8am-6.30pm) and paying over the phone with your debit card
Adding money to your PayPal account with your debit or credit card (if applicable)
Post a cheque, postal order or a banker's draft to us

If you've linked your bank account to your PayPal account, here’s how to restore your balance by transferring money from your bank account:

Go to www.paypal.com/uk and log in to your account.
Click ‘Add Funds’ near the top of the page.
Under 'You move money from your bank account', click 'Continue'.
Make a note of the payment details (in red) and log in to your online banking to make a payment to your PayPal account.

Your money will probably arrive in your PayPal account within a few minutes, but it could take up to 2 hours. We’ll email you when it arrives.

To restore your balance with your card or by cheque, postal order or bankers draft, click ‘Resolve your Negative Balance’ beside your balance and follow the instructions.

I am glad I was able to address your concern today. Please let me know if you require any further assistance.

Thank you for choosing PayPal.

Yours sincerely,
xxxxxxxxx

You really need to get the Stealth Book. You'll keep making mistakes otherwise.

Ah I see - decent e-mail - my strong opinion would be to not have this balance linger at negative for too long.
