UK selling to USA anyone?

Hi

I have a great product to sell to USA ebay customers.

Anyone else from UK sell to the U.S ebayers on a regular basis?

I just wondered if it causes any 'major' problems (radar wise!!).

Best to sell from UK account??

Cheers

Sell across the pond both ways.

Make sure you 'know' what sort of buyer you want.

Newbies, low feedback, etc: set the listing to control who buys.

Define fully a refund process. Be wise to that one.

Make sure you state delivery time and take the best postage to cover your back.

Thanks GB.

And when selling to US you use your own 'home based' account?

i.e. me selling to USA -- just on ebay.com from my uk acc?

Because I've never done it before that was the confusing part. I once sold some tickets for a boxing gig at madison sq grd in US. I listed on ebay.co.uk and an American bought them.

But these items are 'specifically' for US residents. So I log into ebay.com with my UK seller account and list the goods?

Describe your item REALLY well - make sure you do all you can to avoid problems with returns - dont dropship (unless you feel confident and knowledgeable) - make sure shipping times are VERY clear.

Also important: KNOW how to ship - buyers get pissed off if you dont declare properly and they are stuck with custom duties...very important

If someone from US Ebay brought an item that you had listed on UK Ebay then it would have been because you had international postage selected? I normally make it quite clear where I will and won't ship too.

Don't bite off more than you can chew, especially if you think it's a product that is going to sell well. Just be very thorough I guess and give it a go.

Good Luck!

Cheers RSOT :)

And sorry to keep asking the same question...but these sales should be set up in my home grown UK account and advertised on www.ebay.com? This will only target US customers...?

Yes if you list them on your UK account you can select the destination you wish to ship too.

onlinegirl is right, when you list on eb.com - make sure you choose the Ship to options and check what countries/continents you will ship to
