| | | dburnside | 05-03-2013 12:17 PM | Rival seller leaving neg feedback Idiot tried it before without paying, got it removed, this time they paid and immediately left neg feedback, will eBay remove this? |
| danshan | 05-03-2013 12:23 PM | depends on the content of the negative feedback if it complies with leaving feedback policies probably not check and make sure it complies if it does not they will remove it. |
| oompaloompa | 05-03-2013 12:52 PM | heard from others on here, that even if negged immediately after payment, ebay still do not remove it...you can only try...
libel, insults etc get removed....
sly competition..the worst problem you can get |
You might be able to reason with eB that listen, feedback left IMMEDIATELY - it's wrong...eB may or may not remove but you are risking someone looking at your account...
Like imjustme and others advocate, I would not bother calling in. Is 1 negative feedback that critical to the health of your account? Post a follow-up comment, block the bidder and move on - a lot depends on if your account can stand an "eB look-at" |
yeah you should weigh it up
is this 1 neg going to harm your business ?
if yes try to resolve it with eb ay, if not then forget about it
but the thing is if you do nothing about it then this sly dawg will probably keep doing this |
If the competitor left negative feedback right after purchase then you can tell Ebay, "The buyer left negative feedback after the purchase and I have not even shipped the item yet" so how can the buyer leave negative feedback if I have not even had a chance to ship the item"? |
yeah that is the thing most people would do, but would eb ay listen or do anything about it :noidea:
probably not
but if they did decide to take a look, they mite see something they dont like and it could turn ugly
is it worth it ? |
| danshan | 05-03-2013 03:57 PM | Dont do any of that stuff if he shows ebay you are screwed |
| Sandy D | 05-03-2013 05:17 PM | Pay back would not be the way to handle this.
For me, I would send them a nice well worded message asking them to please stop this or it will be reported to ebay.
See if that works.
Of course all is based on if you are 100% certain of this issue. |

Or if there are concerns for the account being checked, then suitable feedback could squash the (effect of ) negative.
Issue is allowing free passage to buyers doing damage.
A stand must be taken.

| dburnside | 05-03-2013 06:03 PM | Wasn't letting this one go as its one of my best accounts, eBay dealt with issue and buyer in a fast and helpful manner, v happy with outcome :) |

when you make a new eb ay account, you have to wait 5 days before you are able to leave feedback |

| wilburnet | 05-06-2013 01:36 PM | sorry, maybe i was wrong .... |
| dburnside | 05-28-2013 03:37 PM | this little b**stard is still trying to hit my accounts :) he should have just left it as his other accounts are getting banned quicker than he can give me negative feedback, absolute prick |
| Lex Luthor | 05-28-2013 08:57 PM | I would get a solicitor to write them a letter (or email them) stating that if they continue you will begin litigation (proceedings) against them on the grounds of libel. Inform them that you have sufficient proof and that eB will be required to investigate and co-operate if they are summoned to court.
What they have done may not be illegal under current laws but a good case can be made for libel and damages can be awarded to you. If your competitor understands this they will back off.
Hope it works. |
@dburnside, Are you selling $1,000,000 items? I'm always curious since some people have major competitors that are willing to go to major extremes. |
| Dmshark25 | 05-28-2013 09:45 PM | Idiots with nothing better to do I hate these greedy sellers , instead of promoting their business with there time they do unethical tactics , way too much time on their hands |
I guess it's worth it to some of these sellers. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:41 PM. | |
