When can feedback be removed?

Chap left my a neg with the word 'crap'

Will this feedback be able to be removed under abuse etc due to the rude word?

JamesNorth101 05-05-2013 12:15 PM

Report the feedback as abusive, and it should be removed. If it isnt within a week then you have the option to phone eBay and risk tripping up, or just leaving it.

Just my 2 cents - I would not consider "crap" as abusive or rude - what about squaring with the buyer why he wrote that?

Pushing your luck.

ebay may not regard this as offensive.

Did the transaction merit the use of this word?

Have you approached the buyer? Is it worthwhile using feedback revision?

Think carefully what action you take.

Otherwise you will find yourself in deeper crap

As above, I'd contact the buyer first and try to resolve the issues with the transaction. Likewise, "crap" isn't offensive.

Dont go about thinking you can just push eB around with trivial matters - they will push back hard on you...be wise - maybe the buyer is right? Discuss with him.

GTB 05-07-2013 04:20 PM

yep as others have said, first thing try to open comms with the buyer

be nice, polite & do whatever it takes if you really want it removed/revised even

if the buyer agrees to revise, send him a feedback revision request

make sure he agrees to do it straight away as i think they only have 48 hours or something to do it

GreenBean 05-07-2013 06:42 PM

go over the transaction again.

Do not look at it from the seller's point.

Look at it from the buyer's point.

See what you think about the way you handled this.

Fainest hint your performance was less than outstanding, simply reconsider the entire matter

I have had a negative removed for an abusive comment but the neg is not actually removed. they just removed the abusive text and replaced it with something along the lines: '...comment removed by ebay' Neg stayed next to the eBay text.
