do I need bank account and prepaid card??
 

Hi I read over the guide and not sure about one thing.

Do I need a bank account and a prepaid card to verify a bank account? Or is it just one of them?

They both do different things. One confirms, one verifies. Need both in the long term, but only VCC to start selling

i say the opposite to the above. i've never linked a vcc as i don't see the point. you'll have a £650 (or something small like that) limit if you don't add a bank account. plus you won't be able to withdraw your funds.

A bank account with verify the PP on UK.

A prepaid card - usually the Credit Card variety - will confirm the account.

If you have one of those prepaid cards that act like a bank account, you could use that to verify the PP account but it's not hard to stick with a regular bank account.

The problems with not adding the VCC is that you have to add a bank account to start selling, and for me its a lot easier to get a VCC than a new bank account. It also provides a way to fund the PP if need be without getting the mismatching name DD issue. But everyone has their own preference, just need to work out your own. Starting out though its best to have both the VCCand a bank account.

Yes but for some people this works very well - you want to increase your selling power from then start so you open ten accounts and have 100 items a month to sell.

Withdrawing cash is not the be all and end all, Paypal is accepted all over the place.

it's not accepted by any pubs. i can't buy food with it, nor can i pay my rent with it. my local corner shop doesn't accept it. for me, withdrawing the money is the be all and end all. and my first post was my own opinion, not divine advice.:yar:

I'm going to add both, as this will be my first stealth. after that I may make a few more with just a prepaid card.

Of course, PP accounts with banks are the best. Savvy folks have a few accounts with bank attached, and many without.

hi can you help me am getting worryed now i have like 5 bank accounts open just to use these accounts is there a way off getting to get my frunds out my paypal without opening a new bank accout with my bank ?

There is no issue with having 5 bank accounts.

It is always preferable to have a bank attached to paypal.

Yes, a new vcc for every acccount.

When in doubt, verify the pp with bank and confirm with cc/vcc before selling and buying - just do it advance.
