ebay and PP sharing phone numbers ? naughty !!
 

ive recently created a few new stealths

used brand new sealed sim cards (orange)

only given to EB/PP

had PPI and various "do you need to make a claim" call on 2 of the numbers within 24 hours

Numbers may have been recyled.

I have had that happen with Virgin UK.

Was told it was a new number. Got similar calls.

Consider checking with Orange if you are concerned.

In OZ, it is common with land-lines to have a new number that is recyled.

you know you lose a number if you do not make/take at least one call every 6 months, yes those go back in to the system after a while.

hoping it does not become a link issue to a prior owner......

These types of companies use quite sophisticated number generators for their systems that then auto dial the numbers that are created from a given sequence.

It is not necessarily the case that your number has either been shared (which is illegal without your specific permission so I doubt e/b or p/p would do this) or indeed recycled.

For them it's just a numbers game, literally.
