Halifax Online account not working for me today
 

Ive just tried to set up a new account, all info is verified etc but when im trying to link the bank account its giving me the, you cannot link a bank account at this time message.

I have done this sevral times and have 5 other accounts with Halifax accounts and this account has 100% not been used on any other account.

Have paypal cracked down on the Halifax saver accounts? or could it be another issue?

More than likely a combination.

Savers are questionable to use these days in any case.

Elsewhere I have mentioned recent banking issues.

I tried to use a Halifax Saver last week to verify a paypal account - didnt work for me....

Hmmm worrying....another one that isnt working..

what other banks are there where you can open accounts the same day and get multiple accounts in seconds like i could with halfiax savers? i dont want to be going through the credit scoreing process.

When applying for halifax is was very simple.

I'm pretty pissed off that paypal wont take those accounts for me anymore.

I have existing RBS accounts. I can make online ones easily.

Bear in mind, this glitch might end. Consider holding off on deciding Halifax is out forever.

I know it's a hassle. But between the UK banks & paypal, we customers have been left struggling.

Halifax Saver not working for me either.

Are you still able to withdraw to the saver if it's already attached?

I'm still hoping these Halifax issues may be glitches on paypal's end. Don't panic yet, they do seem to have the most glitchy website going....

this has been happening to me for ages with the halifax everyday saver and online saver accounts. i just phone them up and get the reps to add them.

Well if the rep can add them it clearly is a glitch otherwise they would decline them on the phone aswell

i'm fairly sure it's those kind of accounts that cause the problems. i added a basic account a few days ago and it went straight through.

I'll give PayPal a buzz over the next couple of days & let them know of my frustrations at not being able to add my account & I shall report back...

This has been a two way problem.

The saver has not been possible to add online. ( As we have reported).

But if you call paypal, sometimes the reps can not add them either.

Bear in mind the issue of the account being looked at happens when papyal is involved.

last time i did that they gave me a £15 voucher to use!

thanks for the heads up with RBS will register with them and try to get some savers set up. can i get multiple accounts in minuites like with halfiax? obviously i need one propper account to start with the same as halifax.

also this paypal im trying to add the bank account too is not linked to any ebay as of yet. and all the personal info is verified so i might try phone them now and get them to add the bank as ive got nothing to loose. and if they want passport pics and proof i can give thme all info.

infact ill phone them right now and post back (if there open)

Thank you very much derbydave, i too phoned them up and nice irish lady added it and then told me to log into oline banking and verified it for me.

I've had the same problems with halifax but I've always been able to get the account added over the phone.

One question about these Halifax accounts....



How do you close them? ....lol


I think they have a 6 account limit and its also not good to have so many accounts in your name.
