add bank details to paypal to increase ebay limit
 

Hi,

Quick question, I have been setting up some accounts recently and I have hit a problem, normally I would request letter to increase limit to 100, but now eBay are asking me to add bank account to my PayPal before it will increase limit. I am unable to add bank accounts to each PayPal, any suggestions

The letter being sent to get 100 items is not the norm.

In most cases you are asked to verify the paypal and they raise your limit to 25 / £750.

Only way around this problem is to get more bank accounts. Lots out there available. Not usual for Eb to want to send letters out for the limit increase, the norm is adding a bank account, although letters are becoming more common.

All my other accounts got a letter sent out in the past, this is the first time they are asking about bank details. I have an account with 300 item selling limit, it has no bank details on PayPal.

This must be a new thing, extra security for eBay, PP and customers.

It's not new. Whilst it may be your experience that you've only ever had the letter, the vast majority are told to verify the paypal and get a 25 / £750 limit as a result.

I guess I will just need to setup more accounts with just the 10 limit as I do not want to waste a bank account.

Will the 10 increase after a few months if I sell to the limit each month?

Bank account is always good for added security.

As for the limit increase...it MAY - a lot will depend on how you sell, your buyers' satisfaction, maxing out your current limits, what you sell, ....and a bit of luck. Some people dont get limit increases for a long time - all the best.

It has been a real cr*p shoot with verifications especially since Easter.

You have to see long term what will work for you.

Dont forget a basic account added to paypal will increase the 'standing' of the accounts.

Try to sell to your limits & keep your DSRs etc good.

the accounts im creating at the moment dont even require ID

the confirm location thing instead of id is a doddle.
