I believe ya, I once sold an item to a person who lived 4-5 houses down the street, I ended up using a different return address, didn't want them to know who had sold them the item.

I believe that.

Brother sent me a photo from his local paper. One of the ladies in the piccie was wearing an item we sold.

Parked in front of your house?

Now that could be very scary.

Well I once bought this old 1950s electric fire from the York race course car boot sale for £5 and I quickly sold it on Ebay for £55. Now a week later again at the York race course car boot sale I was talking to one of my fellow stall holders about selling this electric fire when a chap who was browsing my stall overheard what I was saying and he suddenly asked me if it was a 1950s 'Atomic' style electric fire, yellow and black in colour.

I told him it was and he said to me "You wont believe this, but I sold you that same electric fire last week a few feet away from where you are standing today!" - and he was right he did! He was quite miffed that I'd done so well out of his item, especially when he explained that he'd listed it on Ebay months earlier and not had a single bid so he'd consigned it to sell on the car boot sale! What a strange coincidence eh?

Oh, no! Don't give other people the idea of selling on ebay.. or you'll never find any bargains at that boot fair ever again.
