Advice on newly created account..
 

Okay so i have just created a new PP account.. added the Entropay for the card number then went to account clicked get verified and added the bank account but got an error.

Does anybody know what this usually means? ---> The PayPal server is currently experiencing some difficulties. Please try again later or contact Customer Service.

Does it mean the bank details failed? or ..

Could be just experiencing tech difficulties . Are u using a bank from same country as Paypal account ??? And what bank??

yeah same country mate, UK bank UK paypal.

Just wait a little could be a glitch , Paypal has been experiencing many glitches lately

ahh really? okay then.. btw i tried using a barclays savers.. that wont be the issue will it or? like blocked DD mandate or anything of the sort - just curious if that's what happens if you can not do DD. If not then it must be a glitch.

I have a US account but reading on this forum I think many people use that account so u should be good

UK pp is having a lot of glitches this past few weeks - how much quid you put on the card?

UK PP is very glitchy. Try again tomorrow. Search forum for the bank account you want to use. Barclay's Savers as far as I know works well. Make sure PP never need to withdraw money from the account using a DD though as it will get rejected. Mismatching name withdrawals into Barclay's should be fine, but again check forums to make sure.

I suppose its the bank declined. I have been in the same situation several times. I contacted pp and they said wait until next day and try. Infact I change to a different cc and its okay.

It means that paypal has again been its usual .............. self
(I would have to ban myself if I filled in the blanks).

I did specially mention to not use a savers if you could avoid it.
Savers have been contributing to the issues.

Did you make the paypal
Add the bank account
Then add the entropay card

Or
did you do the card first, then the bank account?

A different cc is not the same as a bank though.

Does something totally different.

Upon signing up i added the entropay first, then once inside the account i have gone to verify and then tried to add the bank.

I know you mentioned to use current but i did not have one at this time and had a couple savers ready so decided to try these for my first stealths, gonna get a current account sorted next week though but i wanted to save them for a brand new address i was actually moving into.

Okay i just had a thought as rsot mentioned if i had any money on the EP card.. and i have like 1 quid left on it... does that matter?

I assume it does not if its verify the bank account not the card?

Update- topped up EP card... tried to verify bank again same error message. Doh! what's going on PP! *sigh*

One of the factors is going to be the savers.

That and the paypal glitches are a horror combination.

Your entropay vcc should have been loaded with at least £5.00 I load with £10.

There are loads of issues as GB has said relating to using savers on UK Paypal.

Okay.. yeah i have loaded VCC with £10 now.

What do you suggest i do at this point?

Edit : Also tried to confirm information and said that "We have done some checks and unfortunately the information you have entered doesn't match the details we found for you. Please click on the Upload or fax documents link."

I assume that's all normal and now is the time to send the doc's in..?

Do NOT send in your docs until the account is VERIFIED.

They will only reject them and tell you to resubmit.

Okay.. well i do not have docs yet.. i was just wondering if that would of been the time to send in.. i am just getting an idea for the process.. i would not do it without advice first. :)

UPDATE: Tried my other savers related to my business account and it went through!

Entered 4 digits and now I am verified! woot woot!!

I believe the Barclays Business Active saver is the one that has just worked.

And the one that failed is the Barclays Personal e-savings reward.

Well that's that outta the way!

Now i need my docs to send in to remove limits right guys?
