In spite of potential for linking, I have had someone do a one time payment for service before to load up my pp a bit...same rules of buying and waiting apply

In a nutshell,Is there anyway to issue a buyer a refund other then taking funds out of your PP ballance?

Not really - funds have to be in the balance.

While transferring funds can link the accounts, you maybe want to attached a real bank account and upload funds - yes PP will see the name when funds are uploaded but is it likely to cause your account problems? I have heard from people who do it once without issues...but that`s your choice

You have had all that worry?

A straight forward bank transfer is usually OK.

Many of us do that without issues

What bank are you using?

It is not as bad as you are thinking, truly

to rsot, yeah I understand that.

I was thinking about putting a buy now button on my website and paying money to my paypal account through that. With a debit card not associated with paypal.

You DON'T want to do that....Seriously its a :nono:

Also, the problem with bank transfers is that it's when the bank transfer FAILS.

Not to sucessful ones lol

I like to keep 3-4x the average sale amounts in pp balance to keep pp happy and to cover for potential problems

Why do you need money in your paypal to begin selling? When the buyers pay you will have money, if they want refund then refund their own money. Just wait a bit before withdrawing out of PP and don't pay seller fees until they are due.

What about funds that might be held?

Cant refund buyers their own money then

Huh? I thought the whole point of PP holding funds was so they could refund the buyer if there was any problem?

Apologies if I am being dumb, trying to learn as well.

You're right but if you dont have active refunds to worry about...don't need to break your head on this concept
