Is skype still owned by ebay

I was just wondering if skype still owned by ebay.

I use the skype to call friends and chat only.
will i get linked by using skype?

It is not owned by eBay, it is owned by Microsoft.

ebay sold the company to MICROSOFT nearly 3 years ago.

And yes, they could and they did link you with skype back in those bad days. :nono:


to expand, I still have a note of a post by the user iamjustme.

He used the same credit card to pay skype and got linked to an account.

OK, this was ages ago. But I know it used happen.

Wow did not know that, glad it changed hands that would of been a big trap that I'd walk into unknowing , that's why I keep my ebay business separate from anything else I do just in case

Only thing that they currently own that I have to be careful with is gumtree.

North American users need to be more aware of potential issues with ebay's fingers being in more pies ( so to speak).

Just looked at all the companies and the money they spent is unbelievable , ebay is taking over the world that's why they can do whatever they want to us. What a great idea just amazing how much money they made. Good for them, even know that put us through so much agony , they have a great place that's makes us money you just need to know how to play the game, just like anything else

Did not work so well for them in China though despite all the money they spent.

Nice razz on their failed venture - China has high control of its own territory which can make outside penetration rough

Yet China penetrate overseas in a big way themselves and succeeds.

Time for lessons to be learned.
