Bank account paypal want to call?

I have a stealth account which had a bank account attached all fine.
I had to refund a customer and instead of taking from PP balance they did an echeque but there was no cash in the account.
Paypal removed that bank account and when I try to add it again, I get a message that they want to call me to make sure I own the account.

Is this an automated call giving a PIN or will it be an actual call?

You should not use e-cheques with stealth PP. They can cause issues as the bank account name does not match the PayPal name.

It could either either real or PIN, but I would think that to get the bank re-added you will need to talk to a real person. Either way get all your stealth info in-front of you, just in-case.

I may transfer some cash to another stealth first,I need it for the weekend and don't want to risk 6 months frozen.
Once I withdraw it I will chance the call.

Not necessarily true - if your bank account is attached, you can upload funds from you bank account...only thing is that your true name shows up on the receipt produced by your bank as sender to PP.

There are few users who do this as a one time deal and have not had problems in UK

Fair enough, but the fact that the true name does show up really means it should be avoided.

what are my chances of successfully sending money to another stealth for withdrawal?

Bare in mind that doing this will link the two accounts together. If one goes, it is possible the other could go, depending on the strength of the linkage.

Very true - I have indicated this all over...manual review could cause issues

You really should write

You should try to avoid using an e-cheques with stealth accounts.

It is not a blanket failure every time.

Dont make an urban myth.

Now you are digging a deeper hole.

Sort this issue first.

If you deal with it correctly, your account may survive.
