Paypal Limited - Wierd situation

So I have an account thats 3 months old.
Sold to limit of 25 items in both months 1 and 2.
Month 3 they raise my limit to 130 items.

Today I recieve an email from paypal saying my account has been limited until they hear from me.

I log on and the limit tells me ' Its been a little while since you used your account. For reasons relating to the safe use of the Paypal service we need some more information about you and your account'

So it then takes me to a page asking me to:
-Confirm bank account
-Proof of address
- Provide business information

I then go to the bank bit and of course my bank was verified and confirmed months ago...i try to type in the bank details and it tells me the bank is already linked etc....so im confused.
I then click on proof of address and it asks me to link my debit card. Input details of CCV card originally used and it tells me its not valid...even though its already linked to the account. It then lets me upload a document with my address which i did.
Thirdly i had to fill in a form about my business.

Anyway now on the resolution centre i have a tick 'complete next to bank account, business info but a 'in progress' next to 'proof of address'

This was all a few hours ago..Now i have just logged on and it says 'Eu regulations require that we collect and confirm your account information'

I go to reso centre and it is still 'in progress'

I find all this highly strange. Recon they will pass my account as OK?

very confused as i have many accounts that are OK and fine.

First time this situation has arose.

cheers

I had something simular a couple of days ago...see my thread here: eBay on the blink?l

It might be an issue but I couldn't get my account linked to eBay as kept getting a page not found and couldn't add or verify address from PayPal even though I have already entered one.

well they're now aksing for photo ID and info about 5 different transactions....all of them were postage paid to ebay / royal mail

weird **** is going down

I don't live in that part of the world but I have seen threads like this and it has something to do with your anti money laundering laws. I'm not sure if there is a solution but search the forum for some ideas.

They have asked me to provide ID too now to lift the last limit which I cant as the name used is a variation and although the address does physically exist its a postbox address and I dont have any utilities going to it so cant lift the 1.9k a year limit.

I think they are up to something? There's a lot of page not found and non working pages in the accounts section lately like they are overhauling the system?

PP UK has a lot of glitches these days. Asking for your ID, however, is pretty standard policy - seems like whatever you sold and the amounts involved, tripped up the risk meter

This is a brand new account, not sold anything yet. Just registering the account and setting it up and linking in. Need to do this to buy items to build feedback all this before the "then wait and then sell"... So I haven't been able to even get this far... Thats what's puzzling me.

I might just go ahead an buy something off eBay account and see if it will actually finally allow me to link my PP account. A recent post from a UK member was told by a PP agent that the limit is automatically lifted once you go past this amount but my main problem is actually getting PP and EB to talk to one another :argue:
