| | | ash213 | 08-21-2013 02:24 AM | Feedback Revision Requests??? Hi
I sell custom products so from time to time i get a negative.
Anyway, back in the day I used to have loads of revision requests, at one point i had over ten availiable but did not need them.
Now I have no requests availiable for some reason. It says for every 1000 positive feedbacks you can have 5 revisions but for over 3000 positive feedbacks my allowance of revisions has been ZERO.
Im mad cos i recieved 3 negs this months for sillly reasons that i have resolved.
the buyers are willing to revise but ebay isnt giving me the revisions.
should i contact them and ask why?
scared, and worried, and angry.
thanks |

People leave negatives for things that should be discussed thru a message, now buyers will not even contact a seller and just leave a negative saying item was broken, now I don't care how well something is packaged USPS throws them around and sometimes there's damages
The buyer could of messaged saying it was damaged and is send a new one, just ridiculous, buyers should not be able to leave feedback without contacting the seller first |
| ash213 | 08-21-2013 03:41 AM | even more annoyingly the negs are asking why the item hasnt arrived yet :s |
| JamesNorth101 | 08-21-2013 04:41 AM | When did you notice your allowance was 0? Daft question, but have you used revision requests in the last 12 months?
They sounds like moron buyers. Make sure you block them asap. |
You should not contact eB and ask why - it is what it is. Build other accounts and spread the sales - dont rely just on one account. |

yes in last 12 months i have used a few revisions.
does the counter change every 12 months or every 1000 feedbacks?
for example after 12 months, and 5000 feedbacks, would i have 20 revisions availiable?
or after every 1000 should i have 5 new revisions availiable?
hope that makes sense.
cheers |
| JamesNorth101 | 08-22-2013 03:55 AM | You get 5 feedback requests for every 1000 feedback comments you have had within a 12 month period.
Feedback requests do not carry on from year to year
Sounds like you have used all your feedback requests. |
@OP, James also brings up a silent but logical point - dont use up your feedback revision requests so early in the year. |

The logic fascinates me. Not.
:brushteeth: |
Not much to explain - OP has a lot of posts to use at his/her discretion |

What do you mean? |
OP gets 5 per 1000 feedback - he should really carefully weigh each situation if it is indeed worth sending out the revision...or better yet make moves in his business operation to decrease chance of negative feedback - target the problem as opposed to just retroactive revision requests |
| bramblewill | 08-22-2013 09:59 AM | Surely a negative is a negative if you get a negative early in the year you would want to remove it as much as one later in the year.
You might get 5 in the early part of the year not dispute them then get no more. |
| JamesNorth101 | 08-22-2013 10:32 AM | Yes a neg is a neg, but getting 5 in a row may be worse than getting 5 over the course of a year (1 every two months)
The point Rsot was trying to make was to fix the cause of the negs.
If people are leavings negs due to slow shipping, make sure you ship your items faster, if its due to poor descriptions, get better pictures and describe the item in more detail ect ect.
Best way to never never run out of revisions is to not get the negs in the first place. |
| slade666 | 08-22-2013 11:06 PM | its a bit **** they want everybody to be saints but when you have to rely on couriers who lose or damage your stuff they don't give a **** |
| Dmshark25 | 08-22-2013 11:44 PM | Buyers are ridiculous , I'm willing to refund anyone's payment I'n full and let them keep the item if their not satisfied
Today I got 30 positive feedbacks in a row on the same item and just now I looked and got a negative saying the top was damaged.
What gets me so mad is buyers that just leave feedback with out messaging the seller first, I would of let them keep the damaged one , full refund and ship a new one out if they contacted me first ( just a $42.00 item)
So I immediately issued a refund although they didnt message me or open a case just left a negative on top of 30 positives of the same item. And I issued a feedback revision explaining it was not my intention to send a damaged product and so on...
Buyers like that drive me crazy, the problem with online sales there is no human contact so buyers think there's a machine on the other end .
And this buyer has 90 feedbacks , id expect this from a new buyer who thinks once the sale Is finished than that's it no refunds. But a buyer with 90 transaction doesn't have the sense to contact the seller first before leaving a comment
Hopefully they change the feedback I issued a refund and a request the few times this happened I have had great results so I hope, I hate when an account is not 100% | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:28 PM. | |
