As far as I was aware you could only get a 5 for having free postage? seems i have been left a couple of lower ratings despite have free postage!!! WTF??

For example

2nd class - Free
1st class - £2

ect...

Agreed. This is what would cause it.

Anyone paying for 1st class post, in this example, can enter a DSR for postage.

No buyers paid extra for postage, all my recent fb had free post, even if they don't choose to pay for post can they still leave less than 5 Dsr?

If you offer free postage as an option and also a second option that is charged, and the buyer selects the charged option, then they can leave postage costs DSR.
