3 PAYG Dongle users
 

Has anyone noticed that the ip address' are staying the same? Ive found it on another 3 dongle i have too.

You can shut the computer down, go back to it and get the same ip address you had the last time you were logged on. Ive tried on different PC's too.


3 used to have real varied ip address'

I've got one on contract, not PAYG.

IP changes everytime and has a huge range.

My PAYG one DID change, under a large range but the last few days have been very strange.

I've got a contract one, changes everytime to.

Give them a ring and ask if its a static IP dongle.

Ive tried another 3 dongle in the same laptop and its now doing the same as the other dongle, ie IP address not changing once reset.

BUT

When I try the other dongle in my other PC the ip changes each time you reset the PC. I'm sure i haven't, but is there a setting that I may have changed on the laptop so the ip address wont change?

The local ip stays the same the internet one changes
run ipburger and make sure u unplug the dongle for a few mins first

I have to agree with this.

Dongles and phone tethering both work a treat. Never had any issues when I have had to use either.
