Found Old 900+ Account - What To Do With It ?

I have found a forgotten 5 year old Eby account with 900+ feedback.
I think that the Paypl account that I was using it with was closed because of a small unpaid fee. I didn't pay the fee thru principle because they cancelled my sale and told the buyer not to pay me AFTER I had dispatched the item.

It cost me more than the unpaid fee in telephone calls to Paypl to try and get them to understand that I had lost my item thru their stupidity. Annoyed with them, I left and started selling on a different platform. Later I opened another Eby and Paypl account which are in good standing.

What should I do with this account ?
start selling on it now or keep it for a rainy day?
Should I open a new Paypl account for it now?
Should I contact Paypl to resolve the unpaid fee issue and ask them to reinstate the Paypl account ?

Thoughts ?

I've heard that selling limits can be restricted even on older accounts, so even if our go to sell you might have low selling limits.. With the PayPal issue, it might be wise to just start again in stealth?

I'm sure more useful help will be along shortly.

Depends at what point PayPal has the outstanding fees issue.

Do you mean when did the fee issue arise ? It was about 3 years ago.

@metatrade

I mean does 'paypal' still have the debt or have they sold it on to debt collections?

You are in a gray area.

IMO it's going to be worthless because your paypal is already red flagged. You pose a high risk to the paypal community, ergo you pose a high risk to the ebay community. Making a new paypal account doesn't solve the problem.

The debt was only £4. I think I was contacted thru a collection agency but ended up paying the £4 direct to Paypl instead.

I've never been banned or suspended, my old and current Eby/Paypl accounts are in my my name and not in any way stealth.

Is it OK to have 2 Ppl accounts in my name ?
Is it worth contacting Paypl to resolve the issue ?
Would contacting them jeopardise my current Eby/Paypl accounts ?

Slowly transition the account back into selling...you can exploring other accepted ways of accepting payment like Propay, Paymate, Skrill.

PP...you already have ideas by other posters here - unlikely to have success with PP because they are tough like that...they dont like delinquency but, hey you paid the account off so worth a shot with contact. Not ok to open a new PP without knowing wth is going on

Operate stealth-ily.
