Lloyds Bank non stealth

Is this bank ok if I use my real name but stealth details? I will change everything on both eb & PP just not my name. Thank you in advance.

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

When it was Lloyds TSB is was a no go. They would share info with PP.

No reports yet on Lloyds after the split.

What do you mean by use stealth details, but real name? Name is enough to cause a link on eBay and PayPal

Does not make sense.

ALL bank accounts must be made with your real ID.

Do not muck around doing otherwise.

LLoyds are still not confirmed as being OK.

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

Hello, the bank is in my name. Lloyds tsb was not ok for mismatched name on PP, so what I'm wanting to know is, is it ok to add my Lloyds to a PP I will be making in my name but register the PP with a different address & DOB? Will PP share my address & dob with Lloyds?

JamesNorth101 10-08-2013 05:07 PM

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

No bank would share that information with PP. They would only tell them if the name was mismatching (as far as I have ever seen evidence for)

But creating an account in your own name is not stealth, is there a reason that you are doing that?

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

I'm only doing it in my name as I have a lloyds account & seemed a waste not putting it to use.

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

I can not grasp what you are trying to do.

You can just use the bank account NUMBERS and attach that to your stealth account.

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

Standard way of adding a bank to PP is to KEEP the stealth name on the PP account and just add the sort code and account number - as long as the bank is friendly for stealth, there is nothing wrong with it.

You dont change any info on the pp account.

What you are trying to do will work. Lloyds won't reject Paypal transfers as they will come through in a matching name.

With regards to the "stealth" aspect on ebay and paypal, make sure the address and dob are completely different to your real info.

opened a new bank account and sort code with Lloyds Bank, want to add this to new paypal it will have a mis-matching name, do they share info and be able to link to a previous account?

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

Ebayorbust's post above addresses your question :) As long as bank account is NEW...you are ok

Should not link to a previous account.

However lloyds are not high on the list of good banks.

Have you better choices?

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

I dont understand why people go with riskier banks when there are so many out there that are good with stealth.

In my opinion Halifax, Santander, Natwest, RBS are the best with stealth and I have multiple accounts open with them at present.

I dont believe a bank would ever give too many details about you to PayPal, but some banks DO NOT like miss matching names.

Another thing I've noticed can raise flags is having too many different names going into one banking provider. You've not only got to think how you look to ebay/paypal but also to the banks.

People need to think outside the box a little.

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

I have read many posts where paypal shares information with Lloyds, apart from name (hence mismatched names don't work with Lloyds) what other information is shared ?

GreenBean 02-27-2014 07:29 AM

Re: Lloyds Bank non stealth

Was actually the other way around.

When first reports came, Lloyds had offered supposedly confidential info to paypal.

Note this was all unofficial, and done between 'friends'.

Regardless stealth accounts were compromised, and limited. Users were naturally upset.
