MC999 Removed due to Preselling items...
 

Just had an unusual MC999 for Pre-selling an item. It is fairly obvious that a competitor has become jealous as I was no.1 on best match and has used this to get my listing taken down....

I am taking pre-orders due to waiting on another container arriving from China!

Ebay state on their pre-selling policies that as long as you mention that the item will be delivered within 30 days of the listing, then there should be no issues, which my listing did...

I have spoke to multiple ebay reps (in far east - utter useless) and also live chat to try and get the listing back live again, they also believe this is unfair and that I am infact correct!

Anybody had a similar issue - if so did you call EB's UK team to resolve this?

Very frustrating as had about £3k in sales of this item this week and now I am going to have many VERY angry customers.... as you can imagine!!!

First off, don't believe anything an ebay CSR tells you. They will say almost anything to make it seem like they are on your side. And (usually) it is not accurate information they're passing onto you. Often times, an ebay rep can tell you one thing and then when you hang up the phone, your sent an email violation stating the complete opposite.

With that said, the mc999 is probably from a competitor who doesn't like you cornering the market and/or bumping him down best match search. I don't see many options available other than letting this account cool off and sell on another account.

One thing I can say, the more you call in and state your case...the more eyes will be on your account. Which means, more attention and possibility of something worse happening.

To be honest, i have been in this game long enough to know never to trust ebay... and it's fairly obvious I have no chance of getting the listings reinstated... Even though my listings abide to their guidelines...

Oh well... another day, another kick in the balls from ebay..!!!
