New to this, advice would be appreciated. Need help with PayPal and Prepaid Cards

Hi there, I have just purchased the eBook and i'm going stealth.

I have a 100% legitimate business selling 100% genuine Ralph Lauren items.

I had an account for over 2 years with 1000+ 100% positive feedback and no issues. My account was shut down due to being linked with previous accounts that had issues.

Basically, I only need to set up 1 new account and start again from scratch. I know aspkin recommends to make several accounts although I do not need this. I'm intending on slowly rebuilding a new business doing the exact same thing as before under a new name and new address etc. What are your thoughts on this, should this be difficult?

Finally, one of the only things I don't understand too well as i'm from the UK is the whole bank account and prepaid card business.

Obviously I will be creating a new bank account in my own name and using this as the main card to make withdrawals etc. although what is the purpose of the prepaid card? Can someone please explain this a little more in depth as I'm concerned about the obvious link with my name.

If I get a prepaid card do I need to put this as my 'new name' and 'new address' or as my real name and real address?

genuine RL, great as long as you can provide proof if challenged. certain goods can be genuine but still challenged if you are not an authorised dealer, depends.

prepaid card is if you do not have a card that matches the address. Bank card uses AVS system that matches paypal address to registered card address. Name on prepaid card is not important, address needs to be added by you and is flexible. eg. you have a pobox for your new business but no card to match, so get prepaid card, fill in matching address on card company online site.

do a search on the forum about business accounts. pobox are good.

you need to do alot of research, use the forum.

Purpose of the prepaid card is to confirm the address - increases security and limits.

OP, you should always have backups being built - never know when the main account goes down.

Issues and linking aside, all the best selling RL items - you will always need authentic proof to be safer (never 100% safe)

Thanks for the reply. I have spent the past 24 hours researching and there is a huge amount to this.

Basically this is my current status and any help would be appreciated.

Firstly I do have a full procurement chain proving my stock is legitimate.

As for my account I think I have my basic grounds.

1) I am going to use a friends name and address who lives near me and does not have any eBay accounts in the past.

2) With the banking side of things I am going to open a new current account in my name (please tell me if this is wrong)

3) Open a VCC in my 'new friends' identity with the 'new' name and address?

4) Change my IP address and delete all cookies etc.

If I am only intending on making 1 account right now is this the basic steps I need to take?

Obviously I am not switching between accounts therefore will not need to change my IP every time?

I'm not going to jump into this and I am going to make sure I do all the necessary research and any help is greatly appreciated.

When registering on Paypal I found this is the correct steps?

To get Verified I need the Bank Account

and to get Confirmed I need the VCC

With the VCC, what steps do I need to make for example deposits etc? I'm struggling to fully get my head around the banking side. I have my new name, address and IP. Do I need to change my MAC Address or is a change of my IP sufficient enough if i'm only going to be using 1 account at this stage?

I do not suggest you go for a friend's details, even with their permission, keep your own business seperate. Seen too many ouchy stories on forum...

the bank name is usually not an issue as long as you do not allow money to be uploaded from bank to paypal (inc fees), but avoid Llyods.

IP change is sufficient.

Okay so I think i've got the basic grounds on this. Please correct me if i'm wrong.

1) I have created a new current account with Natwest. This will be used as my main account for withdrawals and to receive the two payments from PayPal. I chose this bank as research showed they accept mismatched names.

2) I now need to create a VCC to get the address verified via the 4 digit pin. This would normally come as a statement to the address but as it's virtual I will be able to view this online?

Both accounts will be created in my legitimate name and then the when registering for eBay/ Paypal I will use my stealth details. These will not be shown to eBay/ Paypal as this specific bank done not share this information.

Now, I understand this although I just want some more information on the VCC if you can help.

1) When creating the VCC, I am registering it in my legitimate name and address therefore I need to change the name and address to my stealth details so it passes the AVS (Address Verification System).

Q1. When changing my name and address on the VCC do I need to only change my address OR change my name too? Will it not look at all suspicious that I've just created a new account and immediately changed the address? Please help on the matter.

Q2. What other uses does the VCC have. It is solely used for the AVS or do I have to use it for other specific things?

As mentioned before, I want to do this properly and keep 1 account going healthily. Once this is completed I will be creating a back up user..... Just in case.

no need to change name on vcc, usually it does not let you anyway.

2 options with vcc;

you can buy a vcc for verification purposes only on this forum, you then pay fees from your balance from sales.

Or add a vcc that is preloaded with money and you can use it to pay for fees, buy things via paypal etc. or if you have any remainder on the vcc you can always change the address to an accessible one and spend rest of money.

I opened a VCC with entropy yesterday and topped it up £10 to give me access to the card details. I then opened up a second card and transfered £5.

I now have 2 VCC's although they are registered to my name and my address.

Isn't the whole purpose of the VCC to pass the AVS? If my addresses do not match surely this will not pass unless they are not checking for these details?

Please explain if possible.

you can amend the address on entropay.

An entropay vcc will pass avs with any address used regardless of the registered address.

Make sure you delete and make new user account on windows and retake all pictures. Do not use same pics you had on ur prior ebay. It will link. Thats first u should do. I dont need Stealth Book but im sure mr aspkin talks about that. Thanks

May I know if I retake picture use same phone, will ebay recognize it is by same phone? Is there any trace on the phone as well? I was thinking if they can recognize photo by file name, etc.

Any picture you take with a phone must be stripped of it's data. Strip the data with image data stripper. If you have to change the file name then do so. I also hope your not using the Ebay / Paypal App.
