eBay account limited
 

Dear all
Just received an email from ebay saying my account is linked to a previous eBay account that is currently restricted for non-payment of eBay fee. As a result eBay has restricted the current account from buying or selling until the previous balance has been paid.

Shall I pay the balance for the previous account ? will eBay remove the resriction once the balance is paid? thanks cheers

If this is a stealth account with a completely different name and address then you have somehow linked and should 4get it.

If there are supposed to be run by the 'same person', then pay ur fees and it should get sorted, but your not exactly setting the accounts up for a successful future by having these warnings.

Unless you have a bank account attached or great limits, I would just move on.

thank you for replying, account about 1 ear old, selling allowrance 750 , 25 items, previous account balance is about 50 quid, I think I will get a stealth account, as I have heard even I have paid the fee eBay may not lift the restrictions, they re tricking people by this way dont they?

If you owe the money and its an account in your name, then I would pay the money.

They may or may not reinstate your most recent account, only one way to find out for sure though

well , i think the reason eBay found out was because I linked the present ebay account with the paypal( linked with previous ebay account). but the 2 ebay account have different name. and as I remember the reason why eBay limited the previous ebay was because so called 'high risk'.

Shall I just forget about it or pay the fee , and wait see what happens?

Pay the fee and see and what happens. If you have a bank account linked to it, its probably worth saving especially if you struggle to get bank accounts.

If you ever get a stealth account, buy the book, give it a good read and sit at your computer for a week reading through old posts on the forum... You cant link paypal accounts to different ebays etc... It doesnt work like that and youll just lose accounts doing this. Even if you save your account, still buy the book, read the forum and go stealth... Knowledge is power in todays world of eBaying!

@leslie888, you may get reinstated but there is a chance that you won`t. While you should always pay your fees due, keep in mind that there is a chance you wont be reinstated.

Regardless, you are LINKED so you must make new stealth accounts as backups right away
