Advice please re new PP account
 

Hi all, I would love some advice please if anyone could help :)

Here is the situation at present :

I have a clean eBay (500 fb) and PP account. Only trouble is, my PP account has a 30%/90 day rolling reserve. When they put the RR on the account I had to close the business as I couldn't afford to continue whilst waiting 90 days for 30% of the money (profit margins on my business were only around 5%).

Anyway, I haven't done anything with the PP or eBay accounts for a few years (apart from make the odd eBay purchase).

Now, here is the thing : I have since moved house and would like to set up brand new eBay and PP accounts.

I have a genuine UK bank account I can link to but it is still registered in my old address. However, this account has never been linked to PP in any way.

So, can I just go ahead and open new PP and eBay accounts from my new address as if I am a different person (who happens to have the same name)?

Will they need to see bank statements (which would reveal my OLD connected address) ?

For credit score reasons I don't want to change the addresses on my Bank Accounts just yet. All my postal mail is redirected and I do my banking online anyway.

Basically, I just want a fresh PP account without the rolling reserve restriction on it - whats the best way to go about it ?

(BTW: I tried asking PP to remove the reserve but they told me they would consider it after I has sold 50-100 more things on eBay!!!!)

What I would do is use your new address and bank account to set up a stealth EB...

At the same time - sell 50-100 cheap items and get rid of the rolling reserve on the PP.. The rolling reserves are a pain in the ass but if you can prove that you are having no open cases with quick postage/FB, they will remove.

Personally I'd change product range. A 5% margin isn't worth the effort
