I have been using soho66 on quite a few accounts with success... to add some variety are there any other good ways of doing this? |
| stanbic | 11-12-2013 09:37 PM | Re: phone verification on ebay uk Hey how do I prevent ebay for asking phone verification code via SMS? Is it my ip? |
| meloncoly | 11-13-2013 10:52 PM | Re: phone verification on ebay uk I just order free sim cards. o2 send 2 per order. |
| tmastermind | 11-14-2013 07:31 AM | Re: phone verification on ebay uk you should always have new details per stealth otherwise is not stealth. As Meloncoly suggested, free sims are easy to get and use one new number per stealth. Failing that there are also other suggested routes such as Google voice and other such ip telephone providers but myself personally I just use a unlocked cheapo phone and multiple PAYG sims |
| agent-x | 11-14-2013 10:48 PM | Re: phone verification on ebay uk I can't remember which number I linked with my eBay account.
Under personal info I cannot see it either.
Is it possible that I haven't added a number? |
| stealthybutnotwealthy | 11-15-2013 07:51 PM | Re: phone verification on ebay uk ok thanks... I didn't realise you could use mobile with ebay. I thought it had to be a landline number hence why I have been using soho66 so much.
@stanbic.... yes I have this problem as well from time to time. If you leave it a couple of days then try again it sometimes will correct itself and phone you as it is supposed to. Other times it will not.... so I just scrap that number and use another..... another very annoying ebay glitch.
(soho66 also give you the option to receive texts for an extra 80p (approx) so if it keeps happening it might be worth trying this service) |
| aniseed | 11-20-2013 06:28 PM | Re: phone verification on ebay uk eBay has always phoned my soho 'landline' numbers quite happily, never insisted on texting. Any reasons?
Also, without taking over someones thread, does everyone keep their soho numbers active indefinitely, incase ebay tries to ring them?
£2.99 a month starts to add up when you have 100's of stealth accounts! |
| oompaloompa | 11-23-2013 02:34 PM | Re: phone verification on ebay uk you can get a mobile phone for a tenner just wait for deals at tesco, argos etc they are even cheaper on ebay for used cheap ones, I got a couple for £3-£5 |

I get simcards for 1p each off amazon, i then write all stealth account info onto a piece of paper then put it in an envelope with the SIM card, then write on the front of the envelope stealth password and user ID which matches the user on my laptop, that way I can quickly check passwords when logging into each of my 10 accounts and if eBay ever want me to verify phone number again then i have the sim ready in the envelope matching the eBay account,
Never get confused that way! |

Never get confused that way! | Do you have to put any credit on the sim cards to activate them so you can receive calls?
Do they ever expire due to not being used? |

There's no information on it saying if they expire or not, I have googled it and somewhere Said if there's not a chargeable call on the sim in 6 months they will expire and somewhere else I read said 12 months, but if they do expire I will just replace them after 6-12 months with a new one and update details on eBay/paypal |
| aniseed | 11-28-2013 06:45 PM | Re: phone verification on ebay uk Thanks for that. Think I'll get some then. Soho is becoming expensive as I keep making more stealths at now £2.99 a month each! |

Never get confused that way! | very Very Very God Advice . I WOULD Suggest ALL Stealth do this as it will prevent hiccups if you get a un-expected call. |
