higher selling allowance on new stealth-strange reply???
 

Hi

I have a new stealth account with 10 item limit. Pressed the request higher selling limit button and received the following message:

To sell more on eBay, confirm ownership of another account that you use to sell.
Here's how it works

Make sure you have another eBay account with a higher selling limit.
Enter your account user ID, phone number, and post code.
We'll send a PIN to the email address on file for the other account.
Enter the PIN to confirm ownership of the account.

If your other account has higher selling limits, the account with the lower selling limits will be increased to match the other account.

Any ideas?

The other acct has to have the same PP and mailing address. They will increase it as you said if the second one has higher limits. It used to work for a completely different second acct but they figured that one out quick.

That would be fine but my other accounts are all STEALTH....diff names, addresses etc....????

You get this message when your PayPal account is properly linked to your eBay. On the account menu within eBay goto PayPal account and link your accounts again

I went to the account menu, clicked PP account and it is shown as being linked. I just went ahead and logged in to the PP account from there but everything looked ok.

I am worried that I have made an error somewhere?:confused:

I am getting the same message with two seperate stealths that should not be linked! :(

I have only started setting up 5 stealth accounts with 5 new bank accounts.

Now I am worried that i may lose them all before I start selling a decent amount of items.

Some further advice would be very much appreciated from other members of the forum if they have any ideas?

Nothing to worry about, this just lets you link your new accounts to old accounts if you want to. This message often comes up.

So long as you have followed the stealth method you should have no issues.

Jamesnorth you don't make any sense. Why would you want to link any stealth account to any other?? Not sure of the methods of your comment. I had this problem and as ebayorbust says it's a glitch :-)

I did not say you would want to link your stealth with another account.

Some people however have 2 eBay accounts in their real names, so this is a way for those people to link those two accounts to each other.

Usually its not the first options that should come up, which is why it appearing as the first options is a glitch.
