I had it go off twice recently, but both times it was because the buyer hadn't actually paid. I got payments from both right afterwards. However, in the past I have cancelled them as we resolved via invoice and just messaged the buyer about the confusion.
It's automatic so I don't think it was the sellers intention by any means, especially when he quickly closed the case. |
