paypal what does this email mean?

hi
i have received email from paypal saying

After reviewing your PayPal account, we’ve determined there to be excessive
risk involved and would like to begin parting ways in a manner that is
least disruptive to your business.

If there are funds in your account, the remaining account balance will be
held 180 days. In accordance with our User Agreement, the money in your
PayPal account balance may be held until you provide us with a valid proof
of identity and a valid proof of address. The balance is held to cover any
disputes that may be filed against your account.

If you wish to use the financials registered in your PayPal account in your
new account you need to provide the following documents:

• Bank statement and/or credit card statement.

Note: The document must show your full name and address as registered on
the PayPal account. If the document only shows initials, a proof of
identity is needed as well. The document cannot be older than 12 months and
needs to be fully visible.

• A photo ID showing your full name (Not needed if previously provided)

What is a valid proof of identity?

We accept:
- A copy of your ID card
- Your driver's license (photo counterpart)
- Passport
- Other photo ID that was issued by a government body.

Please note that all the information below must be visible on the document:
- First and last name
- Date of birth
- Date of issue and/or expiry

Note: The document needs to be fully visible. Partial documents cannot be
accepted as a valid proof of identity.

If there are outstanding Buyer Complaints or chargebacks, and you choose to
refund your customers, please log into your account and respond to each
Buyer Complaint or chargeback to resolve each issue.

To view the status of a transaction dispute:

1. Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Resolution Centre’ on your Account Overview page.
3. In the drop down box on the Transaction Disputes page, select ‘Open
Cases’.
4. Click the ‘Details’ link of the transaction in question to view the
status.

PayPal reserves the right to close any account reported to be involved in
possible high-risk behaviour. In the event of a dispute, PayPal will seek
to recover the funds from you by debiting your PayPal balance first and, if
there are insufficient funds in your PayPal balance, PayPal reserves the
right to collect your debt to PayPal by any other legal means.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter and
regret any inconvenience it may cause you.

Sincerely,

ps: i have £ 1700 in account
thanks for reply:s

Re: paypal what does this email mean?

It means that PayPal does not want to do business with you and they will hold your money for 180 days and then release it to you.

One thing on the letter I am not familiar with, it looks like they may want proof of identity before releasing the funds. I have never seen that before. Whenever I have had a PayPal account closed, they just sent the money to the account on file after 180 days.

Hopefully, someone from the UK will chime in and be able to shed some more light on this.

Hopefully it is not new for everyone :argue:
