| stevebills | 01-07-2014 01:01 PM | Stealth Account I was going to buy a stealth account but how do i get the eBay code sent to an unknown address and what about the voting register check with PayPal it wont find me? |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-07-2014 01:04 PM | Re: Stealth Account eBay do not often send out codes any more, but its still always best that you have access to the address just in case.
The voter registration search will fail, and you will then need to supply proof of address and ID |
| stevebills | 01-07-2014 01:07 PM | Re: Stealth Account I normally ask ebay to send out codes to get the 650 or 10 items jumped up
to 3,500 and 100 items so is there another way? |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-07-2014 01:08 PM | Re: Stealth Account Just naturally let your limits increase.
If you add a verified PP you can get the limits increased as well |

I guess this has been talked about 100 times in the past but here we are and am interested in your experience as have read many interesting posts from you through the forum. No more backside kissing.... haha |

I'd be interested to know as well, how quickly one can move through the gears.
As far as eBay are concerned this is a regular account, and so, I'd like to know why one shouldn't be able to ring up and press for increased limits?
that's what people normally do, and what's wrong with calling up and declaring one's intention to wish to sell more without tripping up current limits? |

If this is costly I believe one seller offers a service to remove he limitations.
Unfortunately ebay are not normal or regular! As for speed, you don't have to go completely snails pace but the faster you go at the start, the more likely a human is going to have a look at the account from being flagged. |

Phoning them or requesting higher selling allowances is tricky as they can ask you for invoices, receipts, proof of postage etc etc. As well as all id. |

Amazon Stealth is so much easier |

one can verify and carry on, no?
They don't mind people selling, just want to be safe? |

Once you have got your new stealth account set up, if you do decide to phone in for a limit increase, please report back how it goes.
The best way to get limit increases, as already mentioned, is to maximise your existing limits, maintain good selling practices and wait it out. Limits increase fairly rapidly once "trust" is established between ebay and the seller. Quote:

| @Stevebills - Rather than drawing the wrong conclusion about a purchased account, why not actually contact myself or any of the other UK account sellers to discuss? Both issues you mention are easily overcome. |

I don't want to get burnt to find out; just asking to understand.
In a normal situation there is nothing wrong, that I'm aware of, calling in. So, wonder what is different with stealth account as everything should stand up to scrutiny, or not?
I guess not, but wondering, for education sake, what they'd ask that would trip things up? |
| NoneOther | 01-10-2014 11:35 AM | Re: Stealth Account There is no such thing as a normal situation where e/b are concerned.
There is plenty of evidence that testifies to the fact that when accounts are looked at by someone at e/b for whatever reason there is a disproportionate amount of them are subsequently banned.
e/b do not apply normal logic to their decisions for them it is all about risk. If when you ask them to raise your limits they do not like something they see or you tell them then you can say goodbye to your new account.
Stealth is a long game not a sprint. It takes time and effort to beat e/b but it is easy if you are patient.
If you need to sell more then open more accounts, spread your risk and you win the game.
The more accounts you have means the chances of e/b closing you out becomes minimal. |

What we try to do is minimize the chance of the account getting shut down.
One way to do this is to avoid bringing scrutiny to the account when possible. That is why its best to avoid ringing whenever possible. |

We all here being on this forum is a testament to that statement!!
Afterall, most members on here will have been legitimate sellers but yet were still restricted or perm banned often though no fault of their own (yea i know there are some silly peeps who think they can scam or sell phakes etc) and hence why we have to resort to stealth to make the game a little more fair! | | All times are GMT -5.
