| ripro | 01-14-2014 08:28 AM | Ebay listing review Hallo you all.
Does anybody of you watch the initial listing review.I mean the number off views when you start new listing. You definitely get one(which i suppose is an automatic check). But i'm testing right now a good stealth with selling right away after creation and it's slightly over a month now and still getting two review's.I just want to ask if anybody off you knows about some changes to this at ebay as about a year ago when i lost my first acc the matrix was like: -new account until 10 feedback got two reviews
-aged and verified acc got only one
and when i got vero item removal i had 3 reviews b4 the listing got alive.
Do they now check twice or it's only the age of acc(selling general household stuff)
Any info appreciated. |
Re: Ebay listing review Please clarify - what do you mean getting 2 reviews?!? |
| ripro | 01-14-2014 09:37 AM | Re: Ebay listing review When you list an item you will see immediately small number of views to your listing. These are from ebay |
| ripro | 01-14-2014 09:44 AM | Re: Ebay listing review You get first view straight away(i suppose an automated system) and if you get second then within minute or two |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-14-2014 09:51 AM | Re: Ebay listing review Your positive its not just you viewing your own item? |
| NoneOther | 01-14-2014 10:33 AM | Re: Ebay listing review That is exactly what it is. |
| sugarlaces | 01-14-2014 01:02 PM | Re: Ebay listing review I think if you relist or select sell similar that counts as 2. Dont think ebay sit there and manually check each and every item listed every minute of every day. |
| ripro | 01-14-2014 01:05 PM | Re: Ebay listing review I'm sorry guys but it isn't.I thought the same when i received only one review with aged account. But when i listed vero item without looking at the listing and couldn't find my listing online, even though it shoved two reviews i started to monitor it.
Didn't anybody of you notice it,since i now it i know exactly when my acc got under radar |
Re: Ebay listing review If you are so worried about listing your vero stuff, then you should stop.
These views are inconsequential in the grand scheme of things for any eB account |

Besides as already pointed out e/b do not have the manpower to sit and view every single listing made (either with or without a possible VERO item) which probably amounts to hundreds of thousands if not millions of listings daily. |

eBay are not looking at your listing, there are way too many auctions for them to do that per listing. Besides, if they did look at your listing, you would not see it anyway.
If you are worried about VERO items, stop selling VERO items. |
| ripro | 01-14-2014 02:05 PM | Re: Ebay listing review Well guys,as i see you only try to fight against my theory but you can go shore that somebody is reviewing them.I know my own,i just wanted to know somebody noticed the same.Just keep your eyes open and think about it and you will get your own conclusion.
And if they have no manpower to check the listings then how is it possible that about a month ago i've got a phone call in ten minutes from eb after listing an vero on a perfect stealth aged for over 6mths with great performance.I'm not saying it's eb stuff but do you actually know how many agencies, hired by right owners cooperate with eb right now.Thats are 100's of stuff. And eb leaves to them much more space then to us |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-14-2014 02:12 PM | Re: Ebay listing review Luck of the draw. That one item must have been reviewed. That does not mean all items are reviewed.
Are the VERO items you are selling genuine? |
| sugarlaces | 01-14-2014 02:13 PM | Re: Ebay listing review Do you mind sharing your vero item? I mean if it was a LV handbag or something in thousands like rolex, companies that sued ebay, they no doubt have the ability to pull a listing or make a call 10 minutes after it is listed. |
| ripro | 01-14-2014 02:35 PM | Re: Ebay listing review No,no expensive or high vero. This happens even with used desk lamp.Just check your self.List an item, don't view the listing and refresh your browser and one view straight away.even if you test thousand times it'll be the same.
I don't need to convince you i know it.
I just wanted to share experience from you |
| NoneOther | 01-14-2014 02:45 PM | Re: Ebay listing review So it's would seem to an e/b system issue then if it is happening on every single listing, hardly something to be concerned about. |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-14-2014 03:04 PM | Re: Ebay listing review Agree that its a system issue. Simply impossible for EB to manually review each listing |
| gdsco | 01-17-2014 06:53 PM | Re: Ebay listing review HI,
I understand what you are trying to say. I have noticed this with new listings on new accounts. Number of views is 2 or 3 and item takes 24 hours to show up in search. Only happens on my brand new accounts, not aged ones. |
| scoobyjimbo | 01-17-2014 07:23 PM | Re: Ebay listing review True one of my accounts i listed 2 items at same time one had 6 views and sold, the other only had 3 then took another 6 hours to show. If you click on one of your items then see other items link from inside one of your listings it will show if your listing is live or gone off at that time. |
| ripro | 01-18-2014 05:04 AM | Re: Ebay listing review That's what i've been talking about. You get your listing reviewed b4 they get alive.
On new account i get 2 at the moment. But about a year ago i only got 1 at aged account and all i wanted to ask was if there have been any changes(2 reviews instead of one) but as i see hardly somebody pays attention to it and under my opinion this is the first(and maybe the only one) sign of your acc condition. |
| Callidus | 01-18-2014 07:19 AM | Re: Ebay listing review Is it really something to panic about? I would be more worried about new accounts that are only giving you 10 / £650 and not 25 items anymore for the majority of accounts |

No that's too far out to worry about |
| ripro | 01-18-2014 10:20 AM | Re: Ebay listing review O.K. So i just had an item relisted on one account and got two viewings again b4 it got alive which means that it is automated but there's definitely some filter in place |
| JamesNorth101 | 01-18-2014 10:42 AM | Re: Ebay listing review It is just an automated thing.
Its important to note that people are not manually reviewing each listing before it goes live at eBay. As we have said that is just not possible.
Some listings may get flagged to be reviewed before the listing goes live, but that generally only applies to branded VERO goods. |
| ripro | 01-18-2014 12:34 PM | Re: Ebay listing review Yes i do agree that there's no manual review if the initial autocheck is ''clear'' | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:21 PM. | |
