Newbie needing help MC999

Hi guys, I'm new on here after doing a quick google search to see if there was anything I could do about the MC999 I recieved.

To cut a long story short, I had a account up until early 2012 which was running well until I left control to someone else and it slowly deteriorated, I had 1600+ postive feedbacks, but the account became below standard and then cut off completely.

My business partner at the time set up a new account which very quickly got shut down.

I have not since traded on eBay but now i need to start selling.

Being nieve, and not finding this site first, as I since moved address I thought I could set up a new account and start selling again, new paypal, new bank account etc

While setting up my new account my friend said I could borrow his account just to sell a few items to keep me ticking over as I have no other source of income.

My first mistake was requesting higher limits, I had to make a phone call to eBay and they flagged up my other accounts. One of which had fee's owing on it which I was unaware of as had been used by someone else.

So I cleared that with a payment and was told they would review my new account and after 72 hours I could ask for higher limits.

After the 72 hours was up I rang back and was told that I was suspended indefinately and there was nothing I could do about it, find a new way of selling.

Ok back to the drawing board. Then, within minutes my friend account got the same message, I can only guess as it was used from the same IP address and selling simular items.

So I find this very helpful site and I am reading up as much as I can, although Im not very computer litterate, I work on cars, so its taking me a while to get my head around things.

My question is, the account in question which triggered this ban, hasnt been given the MC999 treatment, as yet, and its been sat for 2 years. I logged on, using a different IP and computer, and its saying I can sell 100/£3500 per month, Ive not tried yet as didnt want to disturnb anything, but surely there's no way back on that account? I never had indefinate restriction on that account from memory, they just cut off selling allowance's.

Im stuck for what to do as eBay, like may others became a way of life, Im considering stealth options and looking at purchasing it ASAP, but not being good with computers, will I get the knack of it and pick it up so I dont have troubles in the future.

I wish I found this forum before I recieved the MC999 formally and set up new accounts, maybe the outcome would have been the sameither way I don't know?

Any advise would be greatfull, im doing as much reserch as poss so please bare with my ignorance, im at early stages here:doh:

Thanks

Re: Newbie needing help MC999

the one not used for 2 years might still be linked in some way. eg some details.

it is worth trying it though. You must not sell straight away. Log in and browse, then few days later maybe buy or it could look like a hack. Do not sell for as long as poss on it, 3 months if possible.

read all linking issues you could run in to first on the forum.

Thanks for the advise, im thinking i will just leave it be and go stealth anyway as there seems to be much i can learn from the stealth guide so will be purchasing this tomorrow.

Have yo got stealth accounts? Im in no way good with computers, i mean i know my way round them and i know ebay and paypal, but some of the technical stuff on this forum goes right over my head, does this mean i will struggle with stealth or as long as i read it properly, dont rush things, ask questions, i will be ok, and learn more as i go on

thanks

There is a high chance that the account will get axed as soon as you try to sell anything or within a day or so.

You might get lucky and it will stay up for a while but long term it is unlikely.

As you have said, your best bet would be to start afresh with stealth accounts.
