Cant register with Paypal as getting 'post code' error?!?
 

Hi folks!

I'm trying to set up a new eBay / Paypal account to use, I'm not new to this, but having gone through all the usual procedures to set up my eBay account with no problems I'm now having difficulty registering a new Paypal account.

Once I've input all my information to register for Paypal whe I click the button to enter this info along with the security code completed / tick box 'ticked' I'm getting an error saying that my postcode isnt the 'correct' format and that I should check for typos...!?!?! Well I have checked for typo's etc, its just an ordinary post code and there was no problem with it when I registered for Ebay with it or anywhere else I've used this post code. Why would Paypal be finding some fault with it? Or is it just another 'glitch' in Paypals system? What can I do other than start over with all new details?

I've tried typing in the postcode with spaces inbetween the first and last sections, then without, then I've tried in upper and lower case letters and nothing works, I've even started trying alternate post codes and it says they are all wrong for some reason... Good grief if its not one thing with this its another, and they've got the cheek to advertise on TV suggesting that they are a simple service to use! They cant even get the BASICS right!

They are probably having yet another system glitch. Try it again tomorrow and it will probably be ok.

Thanks NoneOther, you were right, I remembered I've had other seemingly impossible errors with other ebay / paypal forms in the past so I just kept hammering away until it went through. What a fiasco tho.. If you didnt know better its the sort of thing that could alienate new users / customers from the get-go. Ho hum!

Anyway at least its sorted now, time to list some product!!
