Using a Domain email

Hello folks,

Been reading the guide and loads of forum posts but not really come across an answer for my question.

I'm setting up a stealth account for my business and want to use a domain name i have registered for the email. I've never used it with anything ebay/paypal releated before so its unknown to them. I'm looking at ebay@domain and paypal@domain on my stealth account as I will build this account slowing and very very carefully, all details of me hidden from ebay.paypal. I will only ever access these email accounts via the same user account my stealth account uses so no chance of IP linking or mistakes made.

My question is can they track my details via the domain name? I have registered it to my real name and home address but don't know if ebay do a dns account lookup. Any advice would be great or should I change the address to the mail box I will use for my stealth account?

Thank you

Re: Using a Domain email

First from my own experience I can say that it's not good idea to have many ebay accounts on private domain. That was actually the first mistake I made with eBay ^^.
I had sth like 25 acc and was using just 10 in the time then some got suspended because of low DSRs and in few days eBay suspend all 25, even those which had 0 transactions and have been not used. Strange right?

Just to clarify I am pretty sure the linkage was done by domain, not other factors. Because I used dongle and separated windows user accs, so I was playing safe.

If after things I said you still want to go ahead with your plan I advice you to type your domain into google and make proper research if it shows your info. If you find sth, contact you domain provider and tell them that you want your info to be secured and hidden, I think this option is offered free by UK domain providers.

Cheers, and I am looking forward to hear if my opinion was helpful.

Thank you for the information, I will only use 1 stealth account with this domain name but I didn't know you can secure your details on domain names, I have contacted my provider and just awaiting a responce as I think thats the best solution.

Thanks again for your advise it was very helpfull :)

You cannot secure information with any domain provider. Imagine yahoo being hacked. When you think, the information is secured, that is when it rains on you.

Perhaps he is referring to a Private Domain Registration where the registrants information i.e. name, address etc. is hidden when a WHOIS search is made against the domain

Yes thats exactly what I mean, a private domain so whois info is not given in the public search.

Good solution is to go to fiverr.com and order 80-100 gmail accounts for 5$

Remember the email header is always transmitted. All the MX records and associated IPs are visible. Lots of loop holes besides hiding the domain.

Be careful there.

Sometimes info is transparent.
