Dear Mr Ed the Talking Horse

It has recently come to our attention that you have requested Final Value Fee credits for some of your eBay sales when the buyers did in fact pay for the items.

***About eBay's Unpaid Item policies***

We designed the Unpaid Item process to allow sellers to request a credit in the event that they do not receive payment for an item. Sellers aren't permitted to request Final Value Fee credits for sales which were completed or manipulate the Final Value Fee credit system in any way to avoid paying eBay fees.

For more information about these policies please copy these links into a new browser window:

Avoiding eBay fees

We respectfully request that you refrain from this activity in the future. There are a number of things you can do to reduce the need for Final Value Fee credits.

We encourage you to read the information available on our Help pages on reducing Unpaid Items and managing buyer requirements. Copy these links into a new browser window:

Basically for years ive been selling on ebay and taking payments via card over the phone and cancelling transactions on ebay to reduce fees. If I carry on this way do I risk definite suspension?

Kind regards

This is very dangerous operation for the health of your eB account - customers can rat you out

Re: Mc039 ebay message

How long would this stay on my account? I believe they used to last 3 months but cannot find any details regarding policy violations in my seller performance?

Ebayorbust 02-12-2014 04:14 AM

Re: Mc039 ebay message

You can no longer see Policy Compliance on the seller dashboard.

Don't ever assume that these policy breaches ever drop off your account. They are ALWAYS visible to Ebay and if you attempt to bypass seller fees again you can expect to lose the account.

If you don't want to pay ebay fees, just don't use them.

I have 17,000 feedback and been doing this on numerous accounts for around 5 year. My ebay fees are around 15k a month so it's ridiculous. Il just have to bite the bullet.

That's an account you don't want to lose.

How much of that £15k in fees were you screwing ebay out of?
