About New seller performance standards Starting on 20-Aug

About New seller performance standards Starting on 20-Aug.

I am a TOP RATED seller over half a year.
My seller level is projected to be Below Standard on 20-Aug*
I am particular weak on "Canceled transactions" (around 7%)
My current projection will bring my top rated straight down to below standard.

This is due to some stock issue, anyway, I noticed that the cancel transactions only counts if (out of stock or sold to someone else). Does it mean that in future if I am willing NOT to claim back my final value fees, just a full refund to my customers; and NOT open a cancel transaction case to my customer. This DOES NOT COUNT a "Canceled transactions" on my new Performance requirements?

Sorry a bit tricky but I hope you guys could advise.

PS: any open case will count against my selling standard in future?

Many thanks.

Yes it seems to be that way, I think this may be very hard on sellers, to be top rated you only get 5 imperfect orders which is not that much for what they are basing this on, too many times cases are opened by buyers to answer a stupid question but now this will count as an imperfect order

Yes, and i would say 50% of the defects are due to carelessness of courier.

and once the case is open. it will be straight against my selling standard right? an it be revert?

Once a case is open it counts as a defect. They are non removable even if the buyer inadvertantly opens one.

So once a case is open, there is zero incentive of a seller trying to resolve the matter as the damage has alreadt been done. The buyer could then leave low stars and.negative feedback and it wouldnt make a bit of difference.

Yep, alls it takes is one case and many are open by buyers that don't even know they are opening one, they are just trying to ask thee seller a question

They are saying this is to improve the whole buyer experience by having exceptional customer service, but this really looks like they are making a move to wipe us little sellers out

They just want the big stores like bestBuy, Toys r Us, Target , etc... Along with there big money maker eBay sellers,

In a few months sellers like us will be near extinct, you either need to be a Giant or an occasional seller

If stupid having the big shops on ebay anyway.

If for example I see a bag argos are selling on ebay, its always cheaper to go direct to argos to buy them.

Buyers should boycott the big shops on ebay.

I feel buyers on eBay are all looking for the Best deal, and really see all individual sellers as one which is eBay, there really isn't customer loyalty or major repeat customers

the main question I'm focusing is:
If I choose NOT to open a cancel transaction case to claim my FVF back.
I won't have a "Canceled transactions" against me selling standard right?

Is my concept correct?

Re: About New seller performance standards Starting on 20-Aug

No , I have cancelled a transaction , buyer changed mind, so I sent cancellation request buyer agreed, FVF were credited back, and in my seller dashboard the Aug 20 preview of how ur account would be doing does not show that as an imperfect order

The part that is terrible is I mailed an order out that was $1.95, so basically just paid for shipping ( cheap item). And it showed that it was accepted and in transit but it never was delivered

Now the buyer rather than just normal messaging me opens a case, and I simply mailed a new order right out , they closed the case after I responded and when it arrived left all positive feedback

Now it makes no sense but now that counts as an imperfect order and 1 strike against my account for a normal part of business that will happen many times

There is a part to all this that haven't been revealed yet, because a sellers volume needs to factor into all this I would have to believe, it can't be ok 5 imperfect orders and no TRS and 8 imperfect accounts done

If this is the case than there will be no TRS and basically no sellers
