does everyone open onliine banks?

Hi im only getting into this stealth thing properly now and need more bank accounts

I have a business account with Barclays which I cant use as its linked to a paypal iv just had limited walked into Halifax and opened one there.

That's where I got abit worried because obviously they ask you a lot of questions I did not know what to say I mean is it not ok that we are opening multilply banks accounts so we can avoid ebays restrictions?

I want to open more theres like 6 different banks in a close area to mine im going to walk into them all but just abit worried as what to say to them

Or is this best avoided altogether and just open online accounts?

Again Any advice or help on this matter would be most welcome

well, I think you can open multi accounts in one bank, Natwest works.

I open my accounts online.

Be careful not to open too many at once!

I've opened 2 bank accounts last week online :) Went for the current accounts. One with Natwest and one with Co Op. All you have to do is provide debit card details of another bank that you are with and your driving license details to prove your identity.

Funny thing is the Co Op bank didn't even ask me for any proof of identity and have already sent me the debit card with the PIN number to follow shortly =D

I say if you were to open a bank account just do it online. Less trouble and at the comfort of your own home

I have a saver account with Natwest, then opened 2 current accounts online last month, without identity and address checking.

I have a TSB current account, going to close it.

I also opened a current accout with Halifax online last month, no proof of identity, funny. Days later sent me the debit card and PIN number.

I remebered I was trying to open an account in a branch with Halifax, was told that I was not eligible to open an account with them as I was honest to say that I was holding accounts with other banks. Banks always ask stupid questions and everytime I tell them the truth(imagine under that situation ) althrough I told myself I don't have bank accounts with others before visiting banks :(

I will try Co Op later, wish me luck!

Yes you can but make sure you open accounts over time and dont open too many at once or in a short period of time then ebay and paypal wont be alone in closing your accounts down.

And ID is not always required when opening accounts online
