selling a used car

Hi chaps, I would like to sell a car however it'll make a lot more than the 650 limit. Is there different limits allowed with regards to the selling of cars?

A selling limit is a selling limit regardless of what you sell.

If you still have the £650 limits it says to me that it is to early to list a car.
You have to think about PayPal as well.

Why not sell the car outside of eBay like a classified ad? Why pay eBay and PayPal fees??

Car will be brought with cash when they take it no doubt.

Still risky because of what it is and it's value.

From reading this it looks like there's a different policy when selling cars as it stats to sell first you need an eBay account, and if all eBay accounts start with £650 then thats no good at all??

To sell on eBay Motors, you must register to become an eBay member and create a seller's account. This one-time process involves two simple steps: (1) register as an eBay member and (2) create a seller's account. If you've already registered as an eBay member, proceed to the Create a Seller's Account section.
Register as an eBay Member

That is a standard message for eBay. Obviously you have to register to sell.
But I am telling you that it is very risky to sell such an item on a new account.
eBay is ruthless when it comes to new sellers.

It's up to you wether you want to risk your account so soon.

If you do not plan on keeping the EB account and sell a car as a one off then there is no harm (so long as they pay in cash). It is not a good way to start a long standing account though.

You will also generally get a better price from AutoTrader

If you have a read, you will find that your selling allowances don't apply when selling a vehicle :peace:
