What would happen??
 

What do the stealthers on here think would happen if you rang eBay up and asked for higher selling limits but were'nt honest about you were selling?

For example I do sell high risk vero items its all my business but it is a small part of it and I know if I tell them what I'm really selling they ll ask for alot more details etc so out of curiosity what would happen if I rang and said I'm selling something much less risky that they would not really care about?

Would it flag the account if I started selling different items to what I told them over the phone? The accounts in legit details so ringing them up shouldn't be a problem in that respect.

I'm not saying this is something I'm definitely going to try I know the safer option is to just open more accounts and to be honest that's what I am doing but I just want to know what would happen in this situation, I'm trying to learn everything!!

If the account is personal, they will tell you to upgrade to business and call back.

If the account is business, they will ask for supplier information and about your business eg what you sell, how fast you ship. They will also look at what has previously been sold on the account and may ask where it came from etc etc. If they don't like what they see you know what they are likely to do.

I am sure eB agents have heard it all so wouldnt be news to them

Some of us might get a spade ready for you.

Then you can dig a deeper hole for your account....

Learn to avoid thinking fibbing to ebay will work on issues of what you list & getting increases for selling.

It takes one, and only ONE, staffer to kill your account.

Thanks for the advice guys I'm just leaving the account as it is i will just sell to somewhere near its limits then just keep opening new accounts

Great idea and approach - should sell to the limits to aim for automatic increases over time
