Closed cases without seller resolution

Buyer opened a "item not described" case and I had been messaged him/her for over 7 days, buyer keep non-responding. If I escalate the case.

Will it count as "Closed cases without seller resolution".

As you all know if this higher than 0.3% will fall below standard.

How could i deal with this?

if you escalate and it goes in your favour, it will not count against you, though keep a close eye on that.

maybe buyer has decided to drop the case, and/or if they do not respond they will get timed out...so maybe do not contact them and leave it.

I would only ever escalate if you have a water-tight case.

All open cases from buyers for item not received or not as described will count against you in the very near future. (From August 20th)

This is regardless of if the case is resolved or not.

They are making it more and more tempting for every seller to build their own site and just use them for the only thing they will be good for eventually. "Advertising"

I am just wondering did the OP not just request they return it for refund and stop it getting this far?

Re: Closed cases without seller resolution

people do not realise they are opening cases, they think they are pressing a question rom list of options.

I cannot work out why some SNAD cases you can refund straight away and others the money is held - does anyone know, is it some option they press? It has nothng to do with escalation, it is at work it out stage.

Yeah I have seen the surprise in some buyers messages when you ask them why they did not just contact you about this.

I thought the work it out stage was all done by bot?

Re: Closed cases without seller resolution

I know it is done by bot, I am missing something somewhere re refunding without return....

A lot of people are just trying to ask a questions and the way ebay changed their ways recently ebay opens dispute cases right away. What's even worse is the fact that with the next update it will count against you. Many accounts will be gone!
