You have to call the bank and ask for the payment authorisation/approval code and give that to entropay via chat and they will verify your card manually.

when you consider they are getting your information off the card payment anyhow and as long as you use a reputable bank then they seem a bit paranoid to me.

Called Natwest, and tried to get the damn code. Was told that: ' Authorisation codes are only given once the payment is on pending - once they go off pending it has been processed and there is no authorisation code'.
It appears there's a small window when the code appears. I've tried to verify with other bank cards, but nothing.
Thanks, will do. Although, I don't quite understand the final part of your suggestion. Could you please explain?
The moment you hit the button to make the one pound payment instantly phone your bank and ask for the authorization code for that payment.
When I did it with Halifax they put me through to the card fraud department and i got it off them but not sure how helpful natwest are with most things, they always had bad customer service.

Thanks. I tried again with NW when I went through the Entropay verification process, but NW simply said to wait 'til it shows!
Can someone give me a list of UK banks where this code actually shows on the statement? I would be grateful, and then can get up and running!
RetroRedneck: Had to deal with exactly the same situation recently; here is how to resolve it.
Click the link to verify your card with Entropay, allow them to take the £1.00, when the code does not show open a ticket with the helpdesk and explain the situation.
They will then reply asking you for the authorization code. Reply and tell them that you phoned your bank and they informed you that authorization codes are only available upon pending transactions and not completed therefore you cannot supply these details.
They will then request you upload a photo of your bank statement showing the entropay transaction and account holder name/number.
Open your mail or login to online banking, print one off... Snap a photo, attach it to a help desk ticket using the icon on the bottom left and voila job done.
Entropay should reply within 24hours telling you that is was a success and now you are able to top your cards up further.
Don't forget to blank out any unnecessary information upon your statement for your own safety.
This should work without fail.

My bank also showed a code next to the transaction, but when I punched it in to entropay it came back as invalid.
Shame your experience hasn't been better, I have had around 7-8 messages go back and for via the helpdesk ticket regarding this issue. All of which were replied to in a helpful manner within 24hours.
I would suggest just attaching a picture of your statement showing the account holder name and the entropay transactions even if they have not asked for it.
Just explain your situation and add the image, nothing to lose.
Hope it works out for you,
Let us know how you get on.

Sounds like we both had the same experience of chasing our tails.
Anyway, I sent EP a screengrab of my conversation with the bank, and also showing the code going in as invalid. They then decided to put me outta my misery by verifying it!
