Document Check

What is the process for paypal checking your bank statement and ID you send them?

I'm pretty sure they can't do call the bank or etc due to data protection? So is it just a visual check to ensure nothing looks unusual?

There are many different types of proof of address that are accepted. Bank statements, utility bills, council tax bills etc

Regardless of what you send them, how do they confirm its authenticity? Visual? Contact company/bank? Another method?

They dont contact anyone. They visually compare what's been sent to the account details.
