eBay Listings Problem

eBay member for a number of years, registered as business. Have only recently started using the account for part time business size February this year.

100+ positive feedback.

Around 3 weeks ago my account was limited to 45 items per month or £8700.

This was as a result of my performance being below standard for dispatch time only, (5 low ratings out of 131!).

I've now noticed my listings appear no where near where they used to. I was always very high a long with a competitor for most items we sold, however now I am always 4-5 pages behind, or maybe even more in some cases.

Is it normal for eBay to do this to listings as a result of being below standard performance?

Any help would be appreciated.

Perfectly normal.

Performance rating directly affects search ranking results. Has been this way for quite sometime now.

Thanks for clarifying. I think it's time to start looking into a few stealth accounts!

To be fair, unless you can change your selling practices, your likely to keep getting suspended.

I haven't been suspended, I've just had a limit put on my selling amounts because of these 5 reviews. Items are generally dispatched same day / next day with no problems at all, these orders have simply been delayed passing through the Royal Mail network which isn't at all uncommon.

yeah and ebay knows they blame the seller for postal delays as when we have a postal strike they remove that DSR.

If you use tracking and you have the time, have you considered tracking updates for them, seems to make the buyer all fuzzy inside and can stop them hitting your DSRs. Most cases you will not have to and a simple look at the tracking will show that. But in the four or five where there is a delay you show you care.
