Both ebay and paypal are a rip off

Both ebay and paypal charge fees on postage which seems a rip off to me as that is money we have to pay out
so is there anymore ripoff charges for other things let me no?
I presume ebay want every to use free postage option but postage isn't free just ask the Royal mail:eek:

yes, I will tell you another they try that annoys me;
watch out when you list, they often pre-tick options for extra charges eg. photo pack and people do not notice and they rely on that, as nobody would opt for some of those...in fact they can end up paying more in extras than the auction is even worth.....

be careful of photobucket and treat as another ebay/paypal site as it is one of those that are in the share cookies group with ebay. Until I know what info they are sharing they all get treat the same as far as I'm concerned.

I hear you on the shipping, but I don't blame eBay for that. Before, when they didn't charge commission on shipping & handling, items were being listed for 1 cent with a $19.95 shipping charge. Obviously, this was being done to circumvent fees. eBay just got tired of it.

I cant believe ebay and photobucket share cookies but im sure if u use same pictures for more than one stealth its risky
so maybe best to get a photobucket account for each stealth to be safer than sorry

Take your own photos for everything you sell and keep pictures separate for each account as well

Why people don't use multiple img hosting / separate ones for each stealth acc? All should be fine. Very popular ones are:

Re: Both ebay and paypal are a rip off

no imageshack does not share cookies, but it is a good idea if you sell similar products on different accs to use different imageloaders, I prefer the ones you do not need to log in to.

fees on shipping is not fair. I agree the 0.1 auctions and $20 postage were silly but all they need to do is limit catagories to reasonable postage parameters...

That is how I do it also.

stevebills

Did some research, or as much as i could looking for the companies I could recall involved, they all spam google to death.

Photobucket used to belong to News group international, who were one of the companies that were involved with ebay in sharing data cookies.

Most of it will just be marketing but we all know the way ebay uses their terms and conditions and how little newsgroup international think of peoples privacy.

Have they dropped out of it now they are self owned? No idea but I would not take the chance in finding out.
