Selling a car on ebay

Is it best to be honest and list all the faults or just let them turn up and look at the car and find them?

I see your point and def want accounts safe but one persons pride and joy can be someone else's spares and repairs
when you sell a car someone always turns up and tells you the cars scrap and offers you £100 and fooks off

If I had a 40 foot barge pole, ebay uk is the last place I would list a car.

Too many chancers want to take advantage.

There are the fees and the simple fact the seller may end up losing any claims.

It just depends on the person, some are smart and neg the faults to get the price cheaper, and say you did not state THIS or THAT on ebay, and demand a reduction in price, or they will take it further with ebay, others do not care and pay you the full amount... it just depends on the person you dealing with. I think you need to read people and see there body language and gestures.

Why would anyone sell a car on ebay?

Too many things that could have you loosing sleep all night

i was looking at an advert recently from one of those sell your stuff on ebay people. The bloke was offered the amount for his merc trade in and thought he would get more on ebay by time he finished he was about two three hundred quid down and then he would have to worry constantly that the person that bought it was not going to suddenly want to return it because the ashtray was now full.

Just phone one of these buy any car places and you will get a little over the ebay price. as they offer the trade buying price.

Why don't you look at the car sellers and goofbay them to see how they are doing if there is a way to do it, then you are better off looking there

Re: Selling a car on ebay

I have sold loads of cars on EB. Always list the faults otherwise you will get knocked down big time.

Imagine how p****d off you would be if you traveled 100+ miles to buy and pick up a car, only to find it had faults the seller had tried to hide from you. Most buyers will walk away if this is the case.

If the car has lots of faults, list it on EB, if only a few, list on Autrotrader to get top dollar for the car.
