Default New to Paypl & Ebay, confiming CC

Hi Im new to Paypal.
About all the confirming/validation on paypal uk. If i intend to just be a seller and recieve money on paypal, do i need to confirm my Credit card? Doing it deducts 1.50 euros from the card, then i get a 4 digit code from the transaction which i then use to confirm the card back on PP. but the money i never refunded back to my card, it can only be withdrawn to to my back card.

Before this confirmation my CC had already had £1 authorised which reappers back on the card a few days later. Is this good enuf? or do you have to do this actual charge on the card just to be a seller?
I already got a code from adding bank account.

my ac stands as account type: Premier , Status verified and Account limits as Receiving limit per year £1,900.00 GBP , so do i need to keep doing the confirmation with CCs on other accounts too?

Also I noticed i had to agree to a Direct Debit agreement. Does this mean they can make unauth debits from my bank account to cover future neg balance or charges owed?

That's correct to all your questions.

It's the way eBay and PP operate to cover themselves.

Keep following the stealth guide if you don't already have it to have more details covered.

ok thanks, to confirm im right in thinking I dont have to have the debit transaction of 1.50 on my VCC for code confirmation?

So there is no way in stopping paypal from taking money from my bank account in the future without my permission. that could be trouble really .

Paypal tend not to take the money out instantly, as it lingers like a warning that they will do it on a certain day.

Direct debits can be cancelled either online or if you call your bank and paypal do not reactivate direct debits even though the mandate will allow for it.

One problem with that was when I was phoning in to cancel a direct debit some time ago the natwest clerk said that they would inform the company involved of the cancellation. I was a bit pissed at them at the time as they did not inform me that the direct debit was started.

Don't know if all banks do it but worth thinking about if you are on an active account.

Yes to confirm your address on paypal they HAVE to debit the 1.50 from the card you added.

The only way safe way for paypal not to request money from your bank is to pay your fees with funds already in your paypal account, so make sure you always have enough money in paypal to pay your fees.

Or cancel the DD aggreement with your bank.

cancel the DD agreement with your bank or paypal will take your money without asking as I have seen this first hand
So its paypal money to your bank and bank to another bank before they get there mits on it
