Hey Guys, Tell me if you believe my plan is the right one or not.

Summary about me

Ive been using this forum for a long time now , more reading than posting, I have the read the stealth book several times and I believe I'm ready. Ive left eBay alone for two years and have been using my earnings through this duration. I have spent all of my earnings now and its time to get back in the game. I have just left secondary school and want to go college however, I'm not prepared to get a job and go college so ebay is the best option by far.

The Plan

1. Sort out alias and bank stuff. Open ebay account.
2. Build feedback by buying small items. (Not sure what , help?)
3. Pick my niche, I'm great with electronics however eBay hate them as Ive learnt from my experience selling, please pm suggestions if you want haha.
4. Keep consistent for 2 years until college is over.
5. Choose whether to put 100% into ebay or get a job?

Okay , and sell anything that makes profit is obviously the hard part in all this. I still need to my research on this as I haven't really got anywhere. Tips or link appreciated?

I suggest reading the stealth guide once more and than coming back with a better plan to action. Right now you're very vague with what you plan to do with no specific details. No offense.

To be honest I sell anything and everything that I can make a profit on
I have been using Facebook of late and there is loads of Sale and Swop Groups and best is there all free to advertise

there is no magic tips or links and you have got it or you haven't
so keep trying and trying till u finds away like I did

Listen pal. Take it from me. Don't rely on ebay as your main source of income. Why not get a job and do ebay on the side?

thats what im doing hell im making more on ebay then working but ebay is like a trap door when fall in to it you can die any time thats why im making more acc

Op states they are at college full time and doesn't want a job.

if your area is electronics OP, the only tip I can give you is just research research reseaech. You have the entrepreneurial spirit, you juat need the drive and patience to nake it succeed.

get a plan create 3 stealth's to start and build up and find what sells best and more importantly what u can get at the right price and work at it its takes time u cant do it in a few weeks

to side step all the aggro buy a stealth Business account
and they all u need is a bank account to attach and a product to source and sell hey presto job done easy peasy

Ok so if jed30 was to buy a business account and he had products to sell, could he start listing more than one item straight away? Or would he need to break into the account slowly to avoid suspension?

you always start slowly. Get a job ,supplement your income with ebay, until its obvious that you can quit the job. But remember any ebay account can be lost, at any time , for no reason whatsoever. (No account is safe) So have as many accounts as you can possibly manage and rotate them.

The op is a student I would suggest they make use of that.

Every month you should go to a new bank and open a student account while you have the option to do so.
Once you are in the door it is so much easier to open up more accounts with each bank and if you want to make good money on ebay then you will need a lot of accounts.

The old one solid ebay account just does not exist any more for most.

As to what to sell? Look around you and see what you have access to that people would want to buy.
If you are into electronics and are going to sell new goods, then why not start by going round auctions and bootsales and buying things you can strip down for parts to sell then each account looks like a gradual progression from old to new as it grows.

Im obviously looking in the wrong places , I cannot find any product worth selling. Every market on ebay seems saturated. The only place I haven't looked is physically in boot sales etc.However I cant see that being a reliable supply of goods to sell?

What do you mean ? If there was a stealth book quiz , I would get 100% percent. I do admit my business skills are poor, which is why im on the forum.

No offense intended :) I could never do the 100% eB route - it is a challenge to find things to sell.

I meant there are a lot of threads on the forum that have some interesting ideas but it is unlikely ppl will straight up give up what they sell and create their own competition :(

If you want business help, help with sourcing items etc this is not the forum.

It is openly hostile towards that type of talk.

This forum will help give you the platform and knowledge to succesfully sell items. But you will need to source them yourself.

No thats fine, what I need is the technique to find these products , I feel like I dont know where to start. I can scroll through wholesale websites and forums for ages but I literally feel blind. I know there is no special way but you must look for new goods with instructions in your mind?

I know the feeling. Perhaps see if there is a local trade show in your area? Old posts by the user slapped have pointed to some wholesale distributors. I would also use tools like terapeak for eB and see what's hot.

It is quite the upward climb but it does take a lot of legwork. TGMT squared has posted a nice long post about things that sell well also:

I'm afraid that is the world today and not just ebay, every company business in the world is struggling with the same problem.

Also, it would not matter if you found a product that no one else had thought of and started selling it. Even if you picked a three day listing before the listing ended there would be at least three other sellers selling the same item and in most cases more than that. Each of them racing each other to the bottom in some stupid price war.

But that being the case people still do it, and most of them will know, that more often than not, the product is not as important as the methods you use to sell it.

I should also add that you may find that ebay alone maybe not enough to make a living.

You need to focus on what you know or use. I am into btc and when I want a product I research where I can get it the cheapest most of the time its ebay but if it is not, might be a good sales item and of course for me 1 out of every 20 sales on my account is a brandy item
