How long for paypal to release funds?
 

Good afternoon all!

OK so I have 4 stealth accounts setup and have sold several items and added the tracking info into ebay.

Some of the accounts make the funds available within 2-3 days after the tracking number is uploaded however one I just sent is showing that the funds wont be available for another 14 days.

So how long does it take for funds to become available and why am I experiencing inconsistencies.

Also does anyone know which tracking services allow funds to become available quicker?

For example,

RM SD: funds available after 3 days
Parcel Force: funds available after 5 days
TNT International: funds available after 14 days

Does anyone know how long it takes for funds to become available when using different shipping methods.

You get 21 day payment holds on new accounts, adding tracking numbers and marking it as dispatched makes the time shorter.

so each item you mail every day will have different dates of release.

Thanks for the reply.

All my accounts are new but after I upload the tracking info the estimated time until funds become available reduces depending on which tracking service I use.

For example if I post Parcel force 24HR the funds become available after 3 days however with a TNT international parcel the funds are showing as available after 14 days.

I am guessing different tracking services allow funds to become available at different times???

Perhaps because international post generally takes longer so they hold on to the funds longer?

Mostly, yes.

But then either ebay/paypal may take time to release funds.

So would it be fair to assume:

Royal Mail Next day will generally mean funds are availalbe within 3-4 days?

Does anyone know which international shipping service would allow funds to become available quickly?

That is really PP that allows funds to be available not the shipping service

Dont assume when you are dealing with paypal/ebay.

Yes I understand that it is paypal that release the funds however, it would appear depending on the shipping service used the time between "funds received" and "funds available" would varry.

I am just wondering if anyone knows which shipping services to use to help speed up the process of getting the paypal payment received?

Well shipping within your country will make it release faster than your international postage you mentioned.

So try using a 2 day shipping method from your Post office and see if that makes a difference?

All are on about par for the UK.

Cant advise because your profits influence postage.
