New stealth account/Old dongle
 

Hello

It's been a while but am hoping to do some selling on ebay and have acquired a stealth account.

I will be purchasing a new dongle but I do have an old one which I used to access my ebay account on (the one in my own name).

I haven't used it for well over a month now that we have had broadband installed at home.

Will using this old dongle link my ebay account to my stealth account if I never again use this dongle to access my ebay again.

Can I change the ip address in any way or is that not necessary.

From what your saying it sounds like your (OLD) Dongle was on a Static IP, BUT let me ask you a question, Did u ever check to see if your IP changed with your OLD Dongle?

The dongle itself wont link - you should keep track of the IPs generated by the dongle.

To be honest I never did check the ip address when I used this old dongle for about two years.

I will try logging onto the dongle a few times and watch for this

Thanks I will risk it then as I was making myself wait until I had got a new dongle. I will record the ip addresses as I go along.

Distinguish whether the dongle gives you a fresh IP upon reset. Make note of these IP's always.

If you don't get a new IP, look at your home broadband, who is it with? have you tried resetting it and seeing if the IP changes...this could be easier than using dongles.

Of course you can use your old dongle.. just make sure you change IPs and you'll be good to go.

And I suggest reading eBay Stealth because it seems like you're missing some very important details when it comes to not linking your accounts.
