Inpost delivery times
 

I started using inpost last 2 weeks and some parcels are taking over 8 days to arrive and they told me 3 plus days
on the website so who is to blame and will ebay blame me for late arrivals and will i get banned off ebay?
do i put over 7+ days in listing and am i then covered or do i go back to royal ripp off mail:confused:

You will be held responsible for the delivery times as far as eBay is considered.

If you want to carry on using them you need to put a much longer expected delivery time. I would also ask them why it is taking them so long to deliver.

Royal Mail are expensive, but they are also very liable with RE to the delivery times (most the time)

You can get access to better RM prices via a frankings machine or PPI. May be worth looking into

Over 8 days is still within their 3 plus days.... they will throw that back at you.

Several choices:

Amend your delivery times on ebay to cover yourself for DSRs etc.

Reconsider Royal Mail.

Speak to Inpost and find out what the issues are.

Are the lockers you are using empited in a timely fashion? Are they in fact cleared out daily?

Did you check the fine print.

Inpost was already discussed as not be ideal for ebay.

There is a reason it's something crazy like £1.

Royal Mail is expensive, but there is a reason for that.

Maybe he will, when he loses his ebay account for bad metrics.

Not worth a £2 saving per parcel IMO.

Steve, grab yourself a franking machine from pitney bowes.

You will save 20-30p per parcel, get upto 5 weeks to pay for postage, and you'll get £20 free credit on signing up.

It's about £15 a month to hire the machine, but well worth it your sending volume so you'll make savings.

Personally I have to say that I think PPI is much much better thank franking machines.

The problem with franking machines is that there tends to be a loading fee, ink costs a fortune, you have to pay to rent the machine and its all a bit of a faff.

PPI you can just commission all the labels to be printed for next to nothing, over nearly the same prices as franking without all the extra costs.

It's a suggested course of action to try to help you not get dinged with lowered DSR & Seller Defect rates.

Big game changes coming. You need to be on top of everything.

ebay will flatten you otherwise.

They run a credit check, so it will depend on your score.

Best people to talk to for all the details RE PPI is Royal Mail

Just as a side note, Post Office staff may sometimes give you a hard time when you drop off PPI as they get no cut (or at least a very small cut) from it.

Yes, i'd only reccomend ppi if you can drop of at a mail centre rather than a post office.

Staff at my local post office don't like me and my franked mail (but like me alot more than a guy who uses PPI)

It's alot more paperwork and they make very, very little from ppi. (Although what difference that makes to the staff on hourly wages I don't know, they won't tell me!)

PPI all the way, phone royal mail and tell them you are spending over £100 a week and they will send you all the stuff out. I think you have to pay for the stamps £7 or something (was a while ago).

I always dropped off in the post office but I always kept the staff happy, they are handling a vital part of your business.....

Good points about PPI are:
- 4 weeks credit
- discounted rates
- save times in post office
- it's possible to "forget" to pay for some post.

Right I have split my post between royal mail and inpost and ebay with inpost delivery listings will have delivery times of 3 to 5 days
