new buy it now with auction fee

Yesterday i was relisting loads of my auctions to sell again as normal, then about half way through my accounts i noticed that the fees had shot up massively, i sell high volume but my price is very low so imagine my suprise when the fees had tripled, basically the buy it now fee had gone from 10p to 50p, i know its not much for higher price stuff but its completely stopped my business plan in its tracks. I will work through it i always do when eBay throw a curve ball but maybe this gives me the push to finally get my website up and running, already got SFB so itching to get started on that now.

Any other auction options selected by accident?

Re: new buy it now with auction fee

No it was literally relisting the same item.

Maybe some promotion had ended then...buy it now fee went up...do you need that option then?

I tried it again at 7am this morning, could sleep thing about it, I read something about it being a standard fee of 50p instead of a sliding scale, any other uk users getting the same deal.

Re: new buy it now with auction fee

It was great having both options in the same listing so now got to decide whether to go full auction for 10 days or full buy it now for 30 days, all feedback welcome, thanks.

Have you looked at upgrading to a shop?

eBay has a tool that allows you to see if you would save money up swapping to a business account with or without a shop from a personal account.

May be worth checking it out

Re: new buy it now with auction fee

The new fee structure has just come in to action.

Basically they now charge in nost categories for things that used to be free, such as xl photos

You need to uncheck the boxes which are increasing your fees.

Re: new buy it now with auction fee

There was a big discussion on the eBay community message boards about the extra charge for the supersize photo's, I think that's what they are charging you.

You should be able to use the Bulk Edit tool to remove this from your listings, and anything else that you are being charged for.

Go through one of your listings and see exactly what you are being charged for and then use the bulk edit to remove it from all the items.

I do not ever remember the BIN being 10p....it has been 40p for ages.....

if it has gone up, oh well what can we do anyway, no choice......
